Bumped my car
Yesterday, I was in a parking lot doing some paper work and then bump, I got hit by the car pulling in to the space in front of me. There was no damage and the young lady just misjudged how close she was. She felt so bad and offered to pay me for any damage, but there was none. She thanked me for being so understanding. I figure with everything else going on in the world, a bumped bumper is nothing.

There has been more than a time or two where someone has hit me, but inflicted much more damage on their own car than on the Jeep. More often than not, ill hop out, see nothing was really hurt on teh jeep, and tell them its fine, and if they dont want to, we wont get insurance involved.
If its something minor, that i can ding out myself or dont care about, its so much easier to forget about it than to deal with the hassle of insurance, rates going up, having to get it fixed, and whatever else. Besides that, what's a bumper for if not to get bumped occasionally?

I got bumped, too. I wasn't there - a key difference. They ripped off the bumper and totally trashed the front wing. My neighbour had to knock on the door and tell me my car had been dragged into the middle of the road. It was someone in a bus or a lorry, as there's rubber smeared up to the bonnet. I put posters up asking for information, as the car was legally parked on a corner and in full view of - ooh - about a hundred apartments. Nobody rang. No-one cares.

Wow that's too bad castex....
Last year I bumped a woman in front of me. I was looking to the left and thought she had pulled ahead. Well, she hadn't. I let my foot off the break and *bump*. Man I felt like an asshole... We got out, exchanged information. She told me not to worry about it. I was so worried about getting a phone call from her though. Luckly she wasn't mad. Just a very tiny scratch on her back bumper, and a bigger one on mine Recently I bumped into a really big truck.... I didn't realize it until I got home and checked my bumper That was his fault though, he slammed on the breaks. As did I, and I just barely nudged him, didn't even know it. Ack. My car is a mess

I never get bumped. Driving a crew cab with many different colors of mud, several battle scars, and enough armor to ward off wildlife tends to make other drivers make sure I have enough room to get around.
(And no, I do not drive offensively.)

i was with my mom about 2 months ago and we were at a Circle K. she drives a PT Cruiser, and that thing has pretty much no visiblility in the back, and this parking lot we were parked in is pretty fucking small (only 6 parking spots, and a big ass sign in the way) and on a bit of an incline. so, she was backing out of her spot, and this CAB was just chilling behind her, RIGHT BEHIND HER, just sitting there. i dont know why, but i'll just tell you that he was a moron.
so she backs out, and bumps this cab. nothing bad. she breaks one of the small brake lights on her bumper and nothing else. and this cab has so chipped paint. BUT this cab was fucked up anyway. the bumper was crooked, it had headlights taken out on the other side. paint scruffs, chips, and dents all over it, and where it had been patched, the paint didnt match. so this cab driver insists on taking her information (insurance and all the bullshit) and has to call a fucking adjuster to come out to the scene and take a look at it. oh yeah, and he calls the cops....the fucking cops for nothing. the cops say they wont come because its on private property and it was nothing. we were there for probably 45 minutes waiting for this fucker, and we decide to leave because we couldnt do anything, and our house was literally down the street. we come to find out that the cab was there for another 2 hours taking up 3 parking spots along with this adjuster guy. the Circle K owner (whom we happen to be friends with) tells these guys to leave because he's hurting business. i was pissed....we took pictures with our camera.....and we never heard anything about it again. this just goes to show that people can fucking freak out over absolutely nothing and make things as difficult as possible because of something stupid that they did. now i'm not saying that my mom wasnt at fault....but come on, who the fuck parks STOPS right behind a car on an incline? |
