Is this engine swap possible?

I have an 04 civic LX and I wanted to know if a Civic Si motor (newer one, the 2.0L) would fit in my car?

I also saw someone say that the Acura RSX type S engine (2.0L but with 200 horse, rather then the 160 of the Si) will swap real easy into an Si....

Can I put that motor in my car? It'll be a few years down the road if I ever do it, being as I still have a warantee I dont want to void, but is it possible?

And the acura is a 6spd, which is another reason I like the engine.

Its a honda, PT is right - swapping Honda's are cake.

On a side note, anything is possible, it all comes down to how much money you have. :D

THis is what I wanted to hear. WHen the warantee comes off, andf Im done paying for the thing, the engine gets swapped to 200 hp i-Vtech. SHould rock and roll pretty good. Be one hell of a sleeper with the LX tags all over it still...

Definitely go for the RSX Type-S engine as opposed to the Si's engine. The Si engine's VTEC system only has allowances to change the cam profile on the intake valves, whereas the RSX's has profiles for both intake and exhaust.

Looks like a huge project, If one of thos eengine falls on my lap, ill probably buy it, only to spend the years between when I get it and when the warantee runs out buying all the stuff I need to make it all work.

www.honda-tech.com

I'm pretty damn sure that won't bolt in.

Looked there, you have to buy some mounts, and stuff, but it can be done reletivly easy. Not as easy as chevy engine swaps back in the day, but it can be done. If I can find a wrecked RSX with a good front end, I should most of the stuff i need.

The K20 (RSX Type-S engine) can definately be stuck in a newer civic. It's not exactly easy, but it can be done and people seem to be doing it lately. You just need to get the engine, buy the mounts from http://www.hasport.com/, and get someone to do the swap (unless you plan on doing it yourself). Just be aware that it'll probably cost you $5,500+ to do this swap, but it'll definately be awesome driving around a K20 civic.

Personally, if I were you, I would just go for a turbo. For the $5k you would need for a K20 swap, you could get a nice turbo kit, build the internals a bit, and be making around 220+ whp, which is way better than the 170 or so whp you get from the RSX engine. Besides, turbo'd cars are much more fun to drive.

Hmmm... $5k is a lot. Perhaps I should just save up the money, and go looking for a '67 vette... Its been my dream car all along. :)

EDIT: Project car that I need to restore of course. Cause I know they arnt cheap... Even as restoration projects. But if I have cash, and my loan is paid off on this car, why not get one for a vette?
