That was a really cool video. I don't think it's fake. My motorcycle makes like 60hp, and it'd might take the Trans Am (published 0-60 my bike model 3.2sec; can I do that? heck no, I suck). That goped may only make 20 hp @ 23,000 rpm, but please remember it's power to weight and traction that matter. The Trans Am is not a light car, really. The goped with a kid on it might come in at, assuming that skinny kid is 80lbs, give the goped 40lbs, we're only at 120lbs. Say it is ONLY 20hp and that's 6lbs/hp. The Trans Am is about 3500-3800lbs w/gas and driver. How heavy is the driver? Let's say 3500lbs and 425hp, heck 450hp, now we get 7.78lbs/hp. The goped has the advantage. I'll also bet that my guessing 20hp for the goped is low.

What I will guess is that the goped has a lower top speed, so it'll eventually lose. But I'd give it a fair run to the 1/8 mi.

I just don't think it's fake. It's all about power to weight.

That spray is purging air from the nitrous oxide lines, making the nitrous pressurized and ready for injection.

This goped is serious shit and many people from the board have ridden it and wiped out.

The firebird might be laying off the throttle a bit but in this short of a race ( probably less than an 1/8 mile ). The goped is rumored to top out at 80-90 ( they don't have speedometers, duh) and one guy claims triple digits. As for engine, it hasn't been dynoed yet, but it can turn a car dyno, which makes it pretty powerful.


Even if the pass was staged, the goped clearly keeps up with the transam in the race, and noone one the board says that the thing is slow.

I don't know about go peds, but if the video were in fact real the whole production would be shown because it would be so amazing that nobody including myself would beleive it otherwise.

Can you imagine going over 50mph on those little tires, it would speed wobble so badly you would get tossed into another dimension before you made an eigth of a mile

Purging removes the air from the nitrous lines so you inject a full dose of nitrous oxide rather that a blip of air.

In a direct port setup, a ratio of nitrous to fuel is created using seperate injectors for each. If there is air in the line, these injectors create a very rich condition. A richer air to fuel ratio makes you slow.

The purge is 100% functional.

I dont use nitrous.

Its fake. Ive seen it discused on a couple of different forums. Notice how the tone of the goped dosent change the whole time, even when it is far away?

They replaced a 12 second car with the goped .

Still fun to watch. Gopeds tones really don't change much at all at wide open throttle, even in real videos.

That can't be going over 60. I have ridden street luge for a few years now and the wheels we have to use are wider and our center of gravity is much lower then that goped thing. I tend to get speed wobbles around 75mph I just can't see how that kid as light as he is is going to be able to control something that light going that quickly without getting a face full of asphalt.
