That is one kick ass salvage yard. I would love to wander around and see if there are any gems in there.

Never been in one _that_ big, but out here self-service auto salvage yards are fairly common, and I've wandered around in one or two. The thing is, every one of those dead cars tells a story, and aside from getting cheap parts you can learn a lot about people by what they did to their cars.

Nah, things like, there are still people gluing shag carpeting to the top of their dashboards and WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THAT?

Frankly, though, for every wreck there's at least one other car, usually an older one, that just got beyond being worth fixing: cracked block, blown transmission, whatever.

I'll bet you money there's some old hermit out there in a VW Microbus that's been in the junkyard for about 6 years subsisting on rats and rainwater.

Oh wow. Schwing!

See if there are any gems there? I can see more than a few gems in there from that one pic. Every car that I could ID was at least a Classic by age definition. There looked to be some very cool cars there.
