CB Radio PA question
I already have a PA system on my truck. but I am looking to make it louder, especially for beach parties and such. The one I have now is just hooked straight into the CB, with no power cords to run to the battery. This obviously means that it is powered directly from the CB, and no offense to the Uniden I've got but it just isn't that powerful. Does anyone make powered speakers to where it is more or less "internally amped"? I don't mind running a power wire to it if it needs it. To sum it up I am looking for something that is about as loud as possible.

you could get a cheap car amp and some car speakers and then connect the line-out on your CB to the amp inputs.
btw, i have a Uniden CB as well, and yes the speaker is a piece of shit

I used to use an old PA horn and damn that thing was loud.....I might have some laying around still. I'll have to see.
