Drove one today. Damn. Had it up to 125 with plenty of pedal left. Accelerated from about 75 to 125 in a flash. So smooth. Scary that this car seems so docile but can flat out fly. Believe its electronically governed at 155 mph. No doubt it could do it and more, much more.

Yeah, sick car. It's govered at 155 like ya said. Bad ass car.

Did you drive the new E55 kompressor or the N/A E55? My boss had a (?)02 E55 and then got the kompressor a couple months ago - that thing is SICK. The old E's were nice, don't get me wrong but the new supercharged version has got nuts that would challenge a viper in a flat out drag race.

MB's are nice cars, just remember to get the extended warrantee ;)

Computer governor = ya gotta get a whole new ECU etc.

You can just reflash the ECU, when I turned wrenchs I tuned several AMG's - the speed governer is simply a value that can be changed, there is no need for a ECU swap. Its not hard to do at all, it just requires in MB's case, some expensive ass software.

Its the blown version, it flat out kicks ass. I think it may be able to out accelerate a Viper, not sure, though. Certainly is a sleeper. With a Viper you know its a bad ass coming at you. With this, its just another silver Mercedes. But watch out.

The kompressor is a sweet ass car. Rated for about the same as a viper but does lack a little in torque. The viper should take it in a flat out drag but it'd be close. Either way one very impressive automobile!

I know Dodge, Chevy and Ford do that
