Speedometer not working
the suburbans speedo isnt working...because the cable from the transducer(cruise bgox) to the transmission is missing....where would it attatch to the transmission?
|
More info, maybe? year, drivetrain, stuff like that?
|
If you have the standard th350 or th400 tranny the cable usually attaches on the drivers side on the tranny....i can't remember exactly where on gms though...i think it's in the middle

1979 GMC suburban TH350 crate 350 with edelbrock torker II intake.
i heard it attatches to the transfer case, is this true? |

get out a flashlight and search all over the tranny housing. You should find a hole that's just the right size for the cable. Not sure exactly where it is on a suburban, but it'll be there.
How the hell does a speedo cable just disappear? They're usually pretty hard to get to fall off the car. |

Out in the country, just time yourself between light poles. Around here, 4 seconds between poles is somewhere between 50 and 60 MPH. :)

if you have a THM350 or THM400 tnasmission, it attaches right at the end of the transmission kinda near the top of the tailshaft, right where the the driveshaft connects to the transmission. Look for a sort of threaded nub, about an inch across with, a square pastic hole in the middle.
