loved my Acura Integra GSR 4-door...now what?

I love this car, but it is wearing out. I'd buy another one, but it is no longer made.

I love having a reliable, fuel efficient 4-door that corners like it is on rails, and hauls ass.

The new RSX or whatever the fuck replaced the Integra sucks. I tried it, and you feel every pebble you hit. My wife was afraid that the car would (her words) "bounce her tits off." That''s somethiong I sure don't want to happen.

So, what should I get? New or used. I wanna spend $20-30k.

I drove an Audi A4 1.8T. Liked it. Any other suggestions?

I really wouldn't buy an Evo if were looking for fuel economy! Still, what a hoot
Try any 6 cylinder BMW 3 series, perhaps a Lexus IS200 (a little short on power), or the new Mazda RX8.

Crazy

You could look into the TSX its Acura's replacement smaller 4 door vehicle. When they had the Integra, they had the 2-door and the 4 door. Now that they have the RSX, they have the RSX and the TSX.

like castex said, maybe look into a 3 series BMW, and for a 4 door Mazda look at a 6, or maybe a 3.

Mazda 6, Maybe a Mazda 3. If you want to techinically have 4 doors, but not really, maybe an RX8? Saab 9-3 Arc sedan maybe, Subaru WRX (not hte most fuel efficient), not the sportiest car, but there is a decent following for a Maxima usually, then theres the usuall Bimmer or whatever....bah, gotta go.

The TSX has nothing whatsoever to do with the RSX platform. The RSX is an updated (and IMHO not at all improved) Integra, which was a Civic with a bigger engine. The TSX is the european-market Accord.

That said, the TSX is NICE as hell. Give one a try, it's an excellent machine. One of the best I've seen out of Honda in a long time.

I recently bought the a new 03' Acura TL-S & love it, maybe check out the 04' but its a bit over 30K also might want to check out:

1. Infinity G35 4-door
2. Nissan Maxima
3. BMW 3 Series
4. Honda Accord

Any front wheel drive car will not handle as well as rear or all.

I already own an Accord. Its very, very practical and boring to drive. (I have an old Toyota 4-Wheel drive pickup with a lift too. That's a blast to drive, but totally impractical for anything that doesn't involve yelling "YEEEEEEE HAAAAAWWW!" at the top of my lungs.)

Definitely going to check out the BMW 3 Series, Subaru WRX-SI and the TSX. Thanks for all the suggestions.

check the TSX anyway. The difference between the American Accord and the Euro Accord is somewhat akin to the difference between a 386 and a pentium-IV There's really no comparison.

If you are going to look at the STI, please look at the EVO. It is such a better car, and has a far better engine. Buschur racing is running 10's on the STOCK turbo. Insane car with crazy potential. It is also crazy boost happy, with very little lag.

I would really go for that

The Evo is a better race car, not a better car to live with that the STi. if he as concerned about feeling every pebble, the Evo is worse than the rsx. I also doubt the Sti would have a softer suspension than the rsx. The TSX, A4 1.8t and 325i are all sweet rides. If you don't wanna blow your budget, look at the mazda 6 v6 and the mazda 3.

i fyou were willing to spend a more or get a lightly used one a 3 series is amazing the connection between you and the road can not be expressed in words once you go BMW it is hard to go back at least give it a test drive although they are kind of expensive

my thoughts on the tsx and new tl is that they are powerful but being front wheel drive hinders them and i personaly feel the styling is extremely bland like many hondas

I was in the looking for a new car boat about a year ago. Some of the cars I had initialy looked at were:

- Mazda RX-8
- Subaru WRX
- Acura TSX
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
- Infiniti G35 Coupe / Sedan

In the end I ended up buying a WRX, not the STi, and have really liked it. It is a fun car to drive and gets better gas mileage (22/28) than what is listed (20/26).

I didn't look at any BMWs, but after driving my father's 540i 6-speed, I would look at a BMW in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I'm not totally impressed with the new cars, however the new M5 does make me quite happy. Hopefully they will have changed the look a little by the time I start looking add another car to the stable.

I've heard rumors that some jackasses are running around stealing S's and i's off of cars to make Si badges for their riced out cars. Dunno how true it is, but there WAS that epidemic years ago with people swiping mercedes hood ornaments. . .

I agree with you about BMW's by the way. The new 7 and 5 series look like they have cancer of the trunk.

Well I never heard about the letter stealing but it looked stock...there was no gap in the middle where the "S" should have been!

And the part I hate the most....I found a pic on the internet last week that had a pic of the truck lid and it had the TX on it...now I can't find it....SHITTY!

Your headed in the right direction my friend, I drive a fully modded 1.8T Jetta and believe me, it's an experience like no other. The Audi is much nicer in the inside though. But if you want another nice car, the Golf GTI 1.8T is a cool car, they also come in four door. Are you a tuner? If so, then you'll really love the German car market.
