I have a suburban right now. It costs me over 100 dollars to fill it up each time. I really really wish something was done about the prices right now.

daaaamn that's so rediculous (as I'm sure you know), so you've got a 42 gallon tank (give or take a few), that's more than 3 times the size of my rsx. I'm truly sorry.:(

Thats not actually all that bad. You get much, much, higher octane than we do here. 98 octane race gas will run us 4-5 bucks a gallon as well. And out premium, is still only 91 octane.

Its still bad, but considering the octane you get, it could be much worse. Couple years ago i saw 103 octane gofor $5/gal, so with increased prices, and European prices, thats really not all that bad.

Strange Famous 10-10-2004 12:19 AM

unleaded - aprox $5.50 a gallon (assuming an exchange rate of 1.5)

Now, I hope everyone in America complaining about the price they have to pay realises what it is like here!!

Scooby 10-10-2004 03:38 AM

In Slovenia...

unleaded 98 octane approx $4.1 per gallon
unleaded 95 octane app $4 per gallon
Disel $3.76 per gallon

Blackthorn 10-10-2004 08:36 AM

Southwest Ohio

$1.89 - regular
$1.99 - plus
$2.09 - super

Interesting how the price of gas blows up to 2 bones a gallon when Light Sweet Crude jumps to $40.00 / barrel. Now with the price of oil hovering around $53.00 per barrel why hasn't the price of gas jumped significantly?

We've heard about how the Gulf of Mexico rigs were impacted by hurricane Ivan and how the Nigerian oil worker's pending strike are going to hurt an already pushed to capacity supply side. The demand should be showing a seasonal slow down but not that much and not this early. Hmmmmm....Oh well. I'll keep taking the bus when I can. Saves a bunch on parking in the queen city anyway.

We have more space to move around in. Plus, buildings are more spaced out.

Here we are eight days later and low and behold:

$2.49 regular unleaded
$2.59 unleaded plus
$2.69 premium unleaded

I commute 100 miles round trip a day too. Lame as fuck.

EDIT (10/31/04): Well, we peaked here about 10 days ago at: $2.54/$2.64/$2.74, and now it's peeled back to $2.44/$2.54/$2.64 thankfully.

jamessh1 10-19-2004 07:31 AM

Gas prices here in Winnipeg, Manitoba are the highest i've ever seen them. THere has been almost zero fluctuation in the pricing also, with regular basically stuck at $0.80 per litre. Of course my car happens to take premium only and i'm stuck paying $0.92-.94 per litre.

txgixxer 10-19-2004 12:31 PM

Far North Dallas Texas

$2.12 for Premium (93)

saigon1965 10-19-2004 05:24 PM

So-Cal's prices are very similar to us Nor-Cal. Saw a thread somewhere they were comparing prices of gas and prices of other daily shit in our life like a gallon of gatorade or a gallon of Red Bull , interesting.

merkerguitars 10-21-2004 05:32 PM

a firm $2.09 - $2.05, in wisconsin, If I hop the border into Minnesota and go to the twin cities it's about $1.91

BoomTruck 10-21-2004 08:55 PM

Gas here is about 1.93, any grade, and diesel has been at 2.10 for about a week and a half.

I though my fuel bill was bad. Then I talked to a guy around here who paid a little over $25,000 last month for diesel. (he owns 4 rock trucks)

pocon1 10-22-2004 06:55 PM

Germatown, MD. 93 octane for WRX and Integra, $2.20 a gallon at the local Citgo.

Deuce66 10-22-2004 09:13 PM

Southern California, 2.57 for regular (87) at the local shell. 2 or 3 weeks ago it was 2.20 for premium(91) =/

Unleaded-$2.07
Premium-$2.17

albazeroex 10-25-2004 10:29 PM

MeltedMetalGlob 06-05-2011 03:46 PM

Damn, THIS thread is begging for an update!

Over in my neck of the woods the price is up to $4.35 a gallon!

(Who'd thought we'd be payin' such prices years later?)

Congratulations, you're catching up to oil-rich Canada and much of Europe.

[Currently looking at $4.80+ a gallon ($1.20+ litre) for over a month now.]

Vaultboy 06-07-2011 03:54 AM

You guys have cheap fuel.

South Africa

Unleaded 95 = $5.62 per gallon. ($1.5+ a liter). Highest in the last three months, but its been > $5 for probably the last three years. This is why hatchbacks with 1.2-1.6L engines (Ford Fiesta, VW Polo) are the most popular cars on our roads. Even the staple for trucks are 2.5 - 3.0L four cylinders, (Toyota Hilux; Ford Ranger). You rarely see a 6 liter on the road anymore (apart from an AMG, which is a status thing).

Trust me, we'll be wishing we were paying $5.62 per gallon soon. They'll be squeezing us for every dime they can.

Leto 06-07-2011 09:51 AM

this morning gas was C$1.28 per litre.

There are 4.55 litres in one gallon which therefore makes 1 gal = C$5.82 This is a far cry from the 72 cent/Gal gas that I pumped in highschool (but I would be curious to see what a 1977 C$ compares to 2011).

To compare to American Gallons:

There are 3.79 litres per which makes the price of gas = C$4.85/gal - this is for unleaded 87 octane.

But since 1 US $ currently = 0.97 C$, after conversion, the cost of an American sized gallon of gas here in Toronto (in US$) = $4.99

But it seems that the price of gas changes by several cents per litre every day. For example, last night it dropped by 1.5 cents.

Cynthetiq 06-07-2011 01:23 PM

It's $4.25 here in SoHo NYC.

BadNick 06-07-2011 07:37 PM

Over the last couple days there are a few stations in Philly as low as $3.61/gal for unleaded regular but most are well over $3.80.

noodle 06-08-2011 02:41 AM

I saw regular for around $3.60 over the weekend in north Florida, too.
Diesel is down to $3.80 mostly and I'm still kicking butt around 41 mpg per trip if I drive responsibly. It's worth it for a $45 tank that gets me over 550 miles. :)

ASU2003 06-08-2011 05:57 PM

I haven't filled up since April. It is $3.79 here, I believe. It will probably be July before I need to buy 10 gallons.

BadNick 06-08-2011 06:54 PM

On the flip side of conservation, at my last track day I burned up about 40 gallons of 110 octane leaded racegas in about six and a half hours, plus three gallons of 50%/50% distilled water/methanol that sprays into my intake manifold.

Vincent George 06-19-2011 05:12 AM

Melbourne, Australia .. $1.47 liter ulp95 ... AUD $5.56 Gallon ... US $5.90 Gallon
