Truck Vrs Wall. (Video)

Awesome vid of a truck and a concrete barrier.

It's obvious how it ends but shit hot nonetheless.

Two minute video clip download on dialup.

Giddy up.

I guess its a demonstration of a truck proof barrier to prevent car bombs and such getting too close to buildings. That is one hell of a crash and a very effective barrier.

Very impressive barrier. I wonder how it performs with explosives involved.

Wow, what a barrier. And such a violent crash! I wonder what they did to make these barriers so much stronger?

Wow.

I work in the collision repair industry, and have seen what happens to vehicles and structures when hit bit a heavy truck like that. That wall is unsupported. Wow.

Engineering marvel.

So if it is indeed an intentional crash done in order to test a barrier, that means the truck was remote-controlled, and hence without a driver (ph34r my reasoning skills). That takes away from the whole drama of it all. Meh.

The intentional nature of the crash wasn't obvious at first. There was a distinct possibility that a camera was rolling as an unfortunate driver crashed accidentally into a wall. (Yes, it does happen. Ever see Real TV on Spike?). However, after reading the comments, I realized that the crash didn't involve a driver and was intended as a test for a barrier.

Holy crap! I remember seeing a show about this, testing the strenghts of barriers. Something after 9/11, for security around embassies, and gov't buildings, etc.
