Looking for a "New" Car

I am finally going to start looking for my own car! I would like to get sometihng new, but a recent model wouldn't be too bad either.
I currently drive a '92 Ford Explorer, and I want to downsize. I want something smaller, and with better gas mileage. My major problem is leg room. I'm 6'5", and it hasn't been easy to find a smaller car with enough leg room to drive.
Does anyone know of any resources that would have information on a car's leg room or maybe a Big & Tall car site? ;)
Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

CarTalk used to have a guide like this, but I can't seem to find it.

I'm 6'3 myself and know how you feel, i'm also in the business and can tell you that the following cars seemed to be ok for me.

Honda Accord COUPE: More legroom then the sedan

Camry Solara

Acura CL

Pontiac Grand Prix

Honda CRV

Honda Prelude

New body Altima : Surprised the shit out of me

And my favorite....Mercedes SL500, SL55 or any of the S Classes:D

Had to mention those because I work for them.

Volvo S60: I drive one now and have come to enjoy it...it still doesn't drive like my old Caddy though :(

Pretty much any Volvo should allow you all the space you need (with the possible exception of the 40 series, but you'll have to see for your self). So I have to endorse keyser's S60. Swedes aren't known for being petite.

Well, thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to go out and start test driving everything. I did actually find a list from edmonds that had the top ten ratings on driver space, so I have plenty to start with now.

The RSX is supposed to be one of the most (affordable) comfortable sport coupes.
