need some ideas

I'm selling my 94 civic sedan with ~100k to this girl soon for $6000 (yea I know - she said she'd pay it!)...it's maybe worth $4000, and I have a lil under $1000 worth of custom audio stuff I put in.

Now, I'm looking for something with a little more room and a little more kick (probably a V6) for around $6000. I always loved the 4th generation Maximas, and I was investigating some with ~100,000 miles on them for about that price (95-99 year range).

Any suggestions for other nice rides? Need more info?

How many doors you looking for? What do you need in terms of versatility, gas ,mileage, trunk space, reliability, etc? How old of a car are you willing to look at?

I'd most likely like a 4 door sporty sedan, kinda like what the Maxima is. The oldness of the car would depend on the car itself and it's mileage.

Maximas used to be awesome cars. That's a good choice right there. Another one to look at is an older Infiniti G20. That thing has the SR20DE motor in it, and it's a ROCKET. Lotta fun to drive.

i'd recommend a maxima.. my friend has a 94 or 95 one and it has 120,000km+ and that thing is still running as smooth as can be.

Yea the 4th gen ones were amazing - I don't like their new design, although the new one does have a little more power, the style isn't as appealing to me.

i would suggest at least test driving some 4th gens, they are great cars. I have a 02 max and love it, however these are not extremely sporty cars, straight line performance is great, but no auto-x here, they are a little too heavy :-)

oh yeah, most definitely. they are a little heavy but I love the way they feel when they move - a nicely kept one is so smooth and has some balls too

Just make sure it has a new transmission if you go for a G20. Driving without fifth gear sucks ass.
