these are some pics i found off the net, i always loved the microbus, especially 23 window ones. But this new one looks like it might be kind of cool, for a 21st Century digital hippie.

I'm going to laugh if it gets bad fuel economy. Maybe it's a hybrid or one of the new really efficient diesels. That would be pretty cool if it got 40mpg

Looks like a twacked out Mini to me. Stretch out the wheelbase, put taller body on it...i dunno, the whole shape of it kinda reminds me of a Mini.

seats dont look all that comfortable

hmm, falt screen tv in the back that doubles as a table, defintely built for a road trip. but i just wanna know what the hell that little round thing with the joystick is in the middle of the dash. and if it's the shifter how the hell it's supposed to work

We've got one of those around town, completely restored -- he lowered it a bit for some reason, so it's not completely stock. But it's too cool anyway.

being an air cooled VW guy since I was a kid, it's pretty hard for me to like the newer versions of the old VWs. The new beetle finally grew on me, I think it had to do with the turbo though :D . This thing is going to take a lot of work, I think it's hideous. I don't know if its even going into production yet. VW.com has a section on it there and it asks for input from people on what they think and what they'd improve/change. I'd probably fire the design team and start over, the interior isn't too bad, but the exterior needs a complete overhaul.
