Good deal on a Mustang GT?

OK, Black 2003 Mustang GT, automatic. 11,000-13,000 miles (it has to be on to see the odometer, and the two dealers I talked with said different numbers). New set of tires, looks to be in good condition. $15,000. kbb.com suggests $20,400. Can anybody tell me if this is a good deal or not?

And no "ew, an automatic" comments.

Sounds like a good deal but I'd definitely recommend a carfax check to be sure of its history.

im no expert... but it sounds like a decent enough deal... make sure you run a carfax.com report to make sure all that checks out..

I dunno I have my doubts about carfax's usefullness. All its really good for is to tell if it has a different type of title, also I have heard stories of cars with salvage titles coming up as clean through carfax.

the value of the car is probably going to drop a bunch in a few month when ford sells the new body style mustang.

You will never find anything bad on a Carfax report. The title always comes up clean, and insurance claims are conveniently left out.

I ran a car with a salvage title that had been totalled in a flood and hit by debris, smashing the side in. It was reported as sold to a dealership (when it was wrecked) and the mileage was reported as several thousand under what it really was. The title was reported as clean, when it was really a salvage, and no usable parts were left on the rusted POS

Seems decent to me, pretty much a new car for half the price...

I have definately seen my share of bad carfax reports that are accurate. Also realize that it takes a while to get to them, and have them post it. But while looking around for cars, i have most assuredly seen some that came up with a salvage title, odometer rollback, etc.
