I got me a car!
I have just purchased my first car, a 1967 Mustang Fastback GTA. It comes with all brand new parts, tires, rims, etc. The guy who sold it to me was going to restore it but wasnt going to have time for it but had already bought the parts. I paid $9500 for it. Its in great condition and it comes with a 289 and a big block 390. It just needs to have the interior put back in and put the engine in. I cant wait!!! I'll post pics when i get them.

Sounds like a nice project even if it is a Ford
Word of advice: if this is your first car and you haven't had a lot of experience behind the wheels of older cars, leave the 289 in for a while, especially if its a daily driver. |
i'll second that. i know of a lot of people who got a powerful RWD for their first car and ended up destroying it before they learned how to drive.

my dad is actually the one doing all the work on it...i'll be there helping him out, but he knows pretty well what hes doing. He had stacks and stacks of hot rod magazines and other mustang mags and stuff. My bro has a '70 challenger that hes been workin on (which is what im driving right now). So my dad has a pretty good idea what hes doin...so we should have a good time with it

Nice, im not a fan of Ford but the old fastbacks are nice!
I was going to get a project like that but I will have to pass, I need a small car that good on gas....need to save some money! |
Awesome, got me a 67 pony too, only got a 200 six in it rite now but gettin that 302 ready to drop, any questions you have about it, let me know.

that thing should have the biggest of big blocks in it, unless you can't afford it! |
Sounds good.
Do you think you could see your way clear to taking some pics? |
Congrats on that car purchase. Have fun with it.

a '70 challenger, nice. rather have that than the '67 pony. and i agree with war wagon and pain train, Ford isn't my favorite manufacturer

I would restore one too, but time is getting valuable. My preference is a 66-68 Bronco, white with aluminum and black trim. |
