I can't find a date either....I was able to find that it has a one piece rear main seal, but 86 and up is all i can find in reference to the year, have ya tried calling your local chevy dealers parts dept, and asking them about it?

i am needing the year of the engine and The motor is in a 1987 V10 Silverado 4x4. As i thought 350 is 350 until I went to get the part. They had so many to choose from for both 350's and the truck it is in and each of them has different vacuum ratings and regulations for the emissions. I was advised not to pick and choose other wise the result of horrible gas mileage and performance loss would be a big factor. I am sick of seing that dang service engine soon light and it is tripping an 02 sensor lean code along with it. thanks for all the help.

reconmike, thanks. The reason I need to know is my EGR valve is shot and I need to replace it, but don't know a part number. The part that is in it now is the one of the original 305 that came in the truck wich would explain why it is not working correctly. My guess is the people that rebuilt the 350 just swapped parts from the 305. So I need the make the Engine came in originally to get my part.
