testing alternator internals?
Being a bit of a packrat I have racked up a number of old GM alternators over the years and was wondering if anybody out there knows of any way to test the individual internal parts.
I don't have a decade to waste installing them all, and some are already taken apart.I'm just sick of buying new and figured I'd try my luck at rebuilding. I have seen many sites but none seem to tell you much on the internals. Thanx for any info. |

I know on the alternator for one of my motorcycle you can test the resitance on some of the components to test them. And on the diodes you can test them with a good multimeter.
