1992 Grand Prix SE for sale
Car's got 97,500 miles on it, tires (Potenza RE-910) have about 8500 miles. New brakes all the way around, including rear pads, rotors, & calipers. Replaced steering column a few months back as well. Just installed a new battery tonight. Minor things don't work. Non functional items include the cassette deck (radio works fine), and fog lights. One works, the other needs a bulb. Power locks are a little funny, and only work when the want to. Drivers door handle broke last week in a cold (-28 ) snap we had. I've put new plugs and wires in it, less than a year ago. Doesn't burn excessive amounts of oil, figure 1.0 - 1.5 quarts in an oil change timeframe. Very little rust, and the front clips' paint has faded. It did have one minor damage accident with the original (?) owner. I am the third owner, and have CarFax'd the car. As of this past summer, the A/C worked pretty good. Not ice cold, but cold enough for me...and I'm picky. HUD works, although the position lever broke...can still make it move, if needed, though. Drivers' power seat works, passenger is manual. Cruise works, steering wheel radio controls work. The Check Guages and Low Fuel light are on most of the time, although they mean nothing...it is a common enough problem with these IP's. Car doesn't have ABS or airbags. I have RKE transmitters for it, although I'm not sure the car is equipped with it...they came from the new steering column. The interior is in decent shape, especially considering the age. Glass is good, hood has some crinkles in it...it's kind of weird. Oh, and the power antenna doesn't work. Not plugged in...but can't find a place for it, so I'm not sure if it's original or not.
As of right now, I don't have pictures...and the car was under six inches of snow until tonight. If you want some, I can take some. Just let me know what part of the car you want pictures of. As far as the timing belt goes...with 97,xxx miles, I have to imagine it has been replaced at least once. I don't know for sure either way, though. I have a price in mind. I would personally call the car in average condition, as there isn't anything on the car needing immediate attention. Car has a KBB value of $2010. I would like to get as much as I can, and am a realist. My ideal price is a bit below that. I understand that distance is a problem for some people, as I live in Central Wisconsin. I can help somewhat, as the car is drivable, and I do have a second car. For a small fee, I could drive the car halfway to where you want, and go from there. I would need to be contacted if that's the case. If you desire to purchase the car, we can work out payment details then. I would accept PayPal, cashiers' check, or cold hard cash. No offense, but I won't take a personal check. You can contact me either by PM here, or at de-shop@juno.com Thanks for looking.
