I drive a 1994 Nissan Pickup truck. Extremely reliable and good on gas which is what I want. My wife drives a 1998 Neon which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. We're looking to unload it asap. It is very good on gas, 30 mpg local driving and for it's price range overall not a bad car; now if it just wasn't prone to losing headgaskets (a $700.00 repair if you can find a mechanic that will do it) every 20k miles....

My favorite car and only new car I've ever owned: 1988 Dodge Daytona with the turbo 4 engine. Great power, great gas mileage, great looks, dependable. Loved that car, but then I got married, had kids... :-(

Nothing too special, '88 Camry Wagon, and '86 Corolla GT-S Coupe (strictly a project car). Hopefully this March the poor Battle Wagon get's traded in for a mid 90's LS400. Then I can really start to piss money away.. oh the fun that will be had with that beast.

1968 Mercury Cougar
351 2v from a 69 cougar
Lotsa little problems that need to be fixed
But damn is it fun to drive! It's one of those cars where when it drives down the street everyone walking by has to stop and look because it's so noisy!

Love the 68 Cougar! My buddy had one with a 351 Cleveland he built to the balls. The last time I rode in it (engine great, body terrible) I was in the back seat. He went around a corner sideways & roasted the tires. The wheel wells were rotted out, so we looked like Cheech & Chong getting out of the thing!

As for rides, my daily driver is a 2001 Dakota P/U, wife drives a 2001 Dodge Caravan. For fun, a 73 Camaro, slightly built 350 & Muncie M22 4 speed tranny, 355 gears, black with the SS stripes down the middle which are gold (the car is NOT an SS unfortunately). I drive it about ten hours a year, still only has 80K on it. When the ground gets boring and the skies are nice, I also own 1/2 share of a 1966 Cessna 172.

I dunno, that VW looks awesome with the black paint and deep dish wheels, very suited. I love the deep look on wheels though.

I’m driving a dark cherry red metallic extended-cab 4x4 Chevy Colorado LS with a 220-hp, 3.5-liter I-5 engine. The Sebring was a great plush car but it’s been time to transform my vehicle situation since we moved out here to the country. After some days of negotiating and walking away from the sales rep’s offers – and holding out for a deal that included a loaded options package, I signed on the line for the Colorado.

The long dirt and gravel road that abruptly descends toward our parking area is impassable for 2WD vehicles when the snow and ice set hard. We needed another 4WD machine to ensure reliable passage. The horses that are in our near-term plan will require hauling food and equipment. The Sebring was ill fit to serve as anything more than a nice ride. This truck fills the bill out here.

Well, I have an '04 GMC Sierra SLE Extended Cab. I bought it around February 20, 2004 and have been in love with it ever since. XM, Onstar, Bose sound system, 5.3L Vortec V8, access doors.... basically fully loaded.

This picture is kinda old and doesn't include the sprayed in bed liner or chrome nerf bar steps I had added over the Christmas break. Still, you get the idea.

Below is what was my first vehicle/true love. A '93 Chevrolet C1500. Nothing fancy, but Pioneer 4x6s, a 5.7L V8, and dual exhaust. Flew like a bat out of hell and got better gas mileage than my new one. Unfortunately I had to put the old girl out to pasture (read: trade in while it still ran). I enjoy the space, but miss the thrill. I guess I just haven't broken in the suspension on my new one yet. Atleast it doesn't have a governor.

Yes, that is garland and bows on the bed rails. They were chrome plated and tubular. Sorry, but this is the only pic I have of her. Ah the memories...

Hi,

I m 25 from France...
When I see all the nice cars you have it makes me sad. We dont see that much nice cars in France. What I have currently is a Seat Leon, you probably don't see many of them!
It's a diesel but still quite powerfull. I would like to have a more sportive car but I am afraid I drive too much for that.
Still I am thinking of a nissan 350Z but only for the week end. To go to my office I make 140 Km a day. My car is just one year old and already have 50 000 Kms!!!

An Acura TL would be a kind of car I would realy like to have, but we can't buy that in France there are no Acura dealers so I would have to import it.
And with the price of the fuel being very exepensive in France I can't even think about driving a car like this every day.
Even if you don't have your Acura anymore Halx, you were able to drive one for a while... Lucky you.

For those who never have seen a seat Leon :

I just picked up a 2000 Subaru Outback with the five speed manual. So far I love the thing but since I have only had Impreza's up until now it feels like a boat to me.

AJJI, its funny that you say you are sad because you can't get any of the good cars we have over in France. In America we are always bemoaning the fact that it seems all of the good cars are only available in other countries. I guess the grass is always greener.

It s always difficult to be objective about what you have and what the others have ... it's the same with cars.
The fact that some of the car you have in America like acura, mustang corvette can't be found in France, might also be one of the reason why I think about these cars.

Driving in france you mainly see french car (peugeot, renault, citroen...) and this is most of the time small cars with diesel engine (because of the price of the fuel).
But I will not complain my car is nice and powerfull..

I was thinking that you can buy foreign cars without too much difficulties in America like BMW, mercedes, porsche, audi... these are good cars indeed (expensive also).

I spend most of my time in Switzerland, and this is a country where you can see very nice car, probably the good cars you were mentionning desal75 : BMW M3, mercedes cls, audi RS6, Porsche turbo, aston martin, maserati, ferrari...
just to go to my office I see everyday few of the one in the above list on the road.

AJJI, it is just nice to know that there are people all over the world who appreciate good, well made performance cars. We can get most of the cars you mentioned here in America but you only see one or two of them a year maybe. Plus, you guys get to drive your cars on those wonderful Alpine roads every day. Either way, enjoy these wonderful machines now before the price of gas every where is too high and we are all driving rubber band cars.
