what is the best looking car of all time?

what is the best looking car of all time.

for me probably the Jaguar E-Type

that long hood, the cabin right over the back wheels, V-12 under the hood, my god what a beautiful car:cool:

soccerchamp76 12-24-2003 09:24 PM

Wow, this one is tough.
I CANNOT narrow it down any further so I will give my top three:

1975 Corvette Stingray
http://www.coffeescorvettes.com/cars...rvetteside.jpg

1967 GT 500 Mustang (shown here in a crappy color, better with the blue and some better wheels)
http://www.carmemories.com/images/dbimages/3634.jpg

2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello (absolutely fucking beautiful car)
http://www.fast-autos.net/ferrari/575m.jpg

What I would give to have all three of these in my garage...

nash 12-24-2003 10:38 PM

I dunno what the best looking car of all time is (i.e., I don't really have an opinion), but I think the g-body is pretty badass.

Not to knock anyone's choices, but this thread is about the best looking car of all time, not your personal favorite. for instance, I love the idea of the Skylines, but they are not a beautiful car. They are great, and look good, but I think you are confusing performance with looks.

Here are a couple of my choices:
http://www.bobileff.com/graphics/lam...i_muira_rf.jpg
beautiful Lamborghini Muira.

Chosen for what it became, a an idea that anyone could afford a car, and the first cars to be hotrodded.

...i think so far everyone has said what they feel to be their personal favorite best looking car. someone may think the skyline is the best looking car ever. that's their opinion. this whole thread is a matter of opinion. there is no "best looking car ever," there is only the individual perception of what the "best looking car" is, which will obviously vary from person to person.

silent_jay 01-04-2004 08:16 PM

this was the most aestheticly pleasing car not your personal favorite, but hey there are some all right cars here except the skylines great cars and i love them but thier ugly as sin.

Tech 01-04-2004 08:33 PM

but she might think it's the most beautiful car she's seen. i mean, just because it's fast doesn't mean she likes it because it's fast. the '67 corvette is a beautiful car, but if it wasn't fast, it would still be as beautiful. in her mind, maybe the skyline is the same way.

my point is only that all that was said was

"R32 &34 Skyline (in blue of course)
s15 Silvia"

she even specified the color. she didn't mention anything at all about speed or engine or performance, so i don't really think it is our place to call in to question the motive behind the suggestion, despite our personal opinion of it's apperance

silent_jay 01-04-2004 11:16 PM

aggreed but it's still ugly

The ones I still smile at on the street:

Studebaker Avanti (and post-Stude Avanti), '63-'70.
'65 Chevy Impala
'64 Ford Galaxy

You can tell I'm of a certain era :-).

j8ear 01-09-2004 05:00 PM

BMW M6 (the entire six series in fact) in my opinion had some of the cleanest most beautiful lines of any car ever made.

Two doors, frameless windows, sleek yet pronounced front end, sexy angles of main glass. Gorgeous.

As did the old Alfa Romeo coupes and the 70s era BMW 3.0s
-bear

viper11885 01-09-2004 05:34 PM

There are way too many for me to name.

But I'll go with my first exotic car that I ever liked. The 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10. Just a beautiful design. It is impossible to mistaken it for another car.

There are lots more. But it would take me too long to name :p

hilbert25 01-09-2004 07:59 PM

I have to second that Testarossa. Beautiful....

blizzak 01-09-2004 11:24 PM

Bench seats are great for scoring an unexcuseable amount MILF tail in your 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible ;) and that's what its all really about anyway, right?

Death_alive 01-14-2004 05:53 PM

Here is my fav's:
Mazda-------------RX-7 93+ (not the rx-8)
Toyota-------------Supra 93 special edition and up
Mitsubishi----------Eclipse 95 to 99
Nissan---------------Skyline GT-R 93+
Nissan----------------300zx 90+
Acura-------------------Integra GSR, Type-R 94+

(not in order)
These are my fav's cuz you dont need to have alot of cash to have a nice custom beast that can beat a ferrari or any other costly cars (my opinion dont flame)

And if i would have money:
Mclaren F1

I don't know why everyone likes the enzo... I think they're too edgy adn all around ugly. No offense, but I don't like them at all. I'd much rather have a saleen S7 or a Ford GT

mike_north 01-25-2004 05:35 PM

I would have to say the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish also.

Dixie_Wrekked 01-25-2004 05:54 PM

I would have to say late 60's early 70's mustangs

vapusforever 01-25-2004 11:30 PM

By far the greatest looking car ever was the Lamborghini Diablo, the Murcielago may out perform it, but when it comes to looks, there is no competition!

metalmusicgip 01-26-2004 10:30 AM

personaly the best car in my opinon should be the new Vipers or a Shelby GT 500.....

Or some of the Novas that would be all origanal an no replica shit on it.....

joshibahn 02-06-2004 08:48 AM

63 Ferrari 250 GT

we agree on something bad30th i too hope he is joking, what's the big deal about 18's anyways, and i doubt it would look better than any car mentioned here, i like the integra but come on 146519 it sure isn't the greatest.

bad30th 02-08-2004 09:20 AM

well the integra does look good for what it is .... which is by no means close to a list of the greatest cars.....

silent_jay 02-08-2004 09:58 AM

exactly

TheClarkster 02-10-2004 08:07 PM

I'm going to second or third or fourth the Saleen S7.
