No they wont. But sweet car anyway. I'm a Chevy guy, but I've always liked the Cobras....the way all the Mustangs should have been built.

bad30th is right. it will take more than 3k. the problem is when you add more hp to those cars it will hopp like crazy when you launch it. and if you add drag radials you will brake the axle. the IRS really is not good for drag racing. needs a live axle to run 11 sec in the 1/4 unless you meant it can run 11 sec in the 1/8 th mile that would be posssible hahahahaha :D

I'm not really looking to drag race it, because I'm taking it to college. I just want a fast drivable car so I plan on lowering it, getting a new Bassani Exhaust, a throttle body, and a supercharger. Maybe some other stuff too, i dont know yet.

i would recommend to get the magnaflow catback exhaust. is a little cheaper very good quality and sounds awesome.
don't get a throttle body if you don't have a supercharger. there is almost no gain. better get 4.30 gears and a chip(either superchip or diablo)
by the way the shocks from the 03 cobra fit and also get the IRS brace from the 03 cobra. it will help a lot.

Yes, a Cobra, with 3k in mods will run 11's, and rather easily.

Guy up here with an 03 Sonic Blue Cobra, named Allen, has a 11.3 second car, just over 3k in mods. The car will do it, easily. I can link you to his Dyno sheet of 473rwhp too if you like.

If I can find the post and the video link where he lists what he runs, with the prices, I'll post it.

yes the 03 cobra can no problem but he has a 01 cobra. big difference!!! the 03 has a supercharger from the factory and makes stock 390 hp. change the pulley and exhaust and chip and you are at 470 rwhp. but like i said he has a 01 cobra makes 320 hp from the factory. not easy and not cheap to modify

If you knew as much as you profess to, you would know that the 03 Cobra is a completely different animal. Biggest difference being a little thing called a supercharger :D :p

03: 4.6L DOHC Supercharged rated at just a tad under 400 hp
01: 4.6L DOHC naturaly aspirated rated at, what, 320 hp?

That 3k in mods your buddy did was most likely, oh I dunno, maybe a smaller pully to increase boost, larger fuel injectors to burn the boost, and a computer chip/reprogram to control it all? Ya. That'll getcha about 475 hp or so :D

But anyway, hey SVT01Cobra....fuck drag racing man....with that car, you should try real racing....ya know, the kind with turns? :p Seriously tho, that car would do well (IRS, good low end torque, etc) at AutoX or road courses. Tons of fun man...:D

I've also thought about getting a Mach 1, it's a different beast as well. I need to go out and test drive one!

I've found new respect for 'Stangs. Never drove a GT or Cobra but a friend had a Roush Stage II a while back and wow, that turned me around and threw me out on my ass. No more domestic bashing sqabble after that....whew. I hear the new ones kick considerable ass also.

The new '03 Cobra is a massive beast with 390 horsepower, it definitely blows mine out of the water.
