Drove a 2002 VW Beetle Turbo S to Detroit the other day...1200 mile round trip. This thing is fun to drive! It's got 180hp, backed by a 6-speed manual trans! After several runs of WOT redline shifts in first, second, and third gears, I can now say that I suffer from severe cases of "turbo giggle." Say it out loud in a normal conversation pace. You'll start laughing...trust me! Anyways, just had to share that.

I drive a turbocharged Mitsubishi Eclipse that is slightly modified. The sound of a blow off valve and the g's pulled as the turbo kicks in at 3k rpms is an undeniable addiction. I'll never drive a naturally aspirated car again :D

i wish they would release an AWD version of the beetle, similiar to the concept bug they had in 2k1 i think. 300hp AWD little monster. Wouldnt mind having a nice sleeper like that.

It looks like the Jetta and Golf will pick up 4-Motion at the next redesign. I agree, though, that the Beetle with a 225HP 1.8T and 4-Motion/Quattro would be pretty slick, especially with a 6-speed.
