This is the most rediculous thing I've ever seen...

Link: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/438665

Here's the deal: this dweeb modded a 1991 Supra with some gay Testarossa-style fins and a bunch of Ferrari logos, and he tries to pass it off as a "Lamarossa Ferrari". He even lists it as a 1991 Ferrari F512M.

You made need to wrap your head with duct tape before you view this so your brain matter doesn't go flying all over the room when your head explodes (as mine did). Everything from the lame car to his 7-th grade haircut makes me want to hurl.

Luckily, his girlie is hott, so that eases the pain somewhat. I'd bet a week's pay he has her convinced it's really a Ferrari.

Just saw went there, from Fark...been wiping brains off my screen ever since. The really funny part is the group of people who sign guestbook, encouraging him. In particular I enjoyed the guy who said he'd been a Ferrari fan since childhood, but thought he'd missed a model-number...

What's the world coming to?

I like it. I wouldn't drive the damn thing, but I think its cool that he tried it. If you can't buy one, build your own. I can admire how much detail he went through. Obviously he's not going to be able to build a perfect ferrari, only they can do that. Nice girlfriend (or hired model for a day).

Talk about crappy work. The idea is neat, and mr2's, supras and a bunch of other cars can look like a very convincing Ferrari when done properly. But that....talk about crappy worksmanship. And those vents....wtf did he do, stick 2x4's onto his car? Its a disgrace to a supra, let alone a Ferrari. He's a cocky arrogant bastard at that, who probably paid more than his car is worth, just to make itlook like that. Just wait till his gf finds out its not really a Ferrari.

its really funny though, because he says

Quote:
Lamarossa haters, you guys ain't got shit on me when I'm boosting in the Lamarossa.

"Im sick of hearing bullshit comments from people who has no fucking respect for other peoples ride. So if you got something nice to say post if not shut the fuck up.
Unless you do own a nice fast Ferrari, get the fuck off my back, you ain't got shit on me."
HAHAHAHA aint got shit while I'm boosting, yeah right, its nothing more than a body kit at that horsepower. Even a mustang (cheap sportscar) could beat that damn thing unmodified...

If he was going to spend all that time modifying the body, he should have added a supercharger so he'd be more than all hat, no cattle.

I can't help but laugh at that....

numist, with all those mods, he should have 500hp easy. The only person who's ever going to believe this crap is his girlfriend, if she is, in fact, his girlfriend.

wow.
i really really want to kill this guy, what a dick.
the rear lights look like crap, why are they sticking out? ruined one my favorite things about ferraris
"So I'm paying insurrance and mantainents of a supra but I got the attention of a Ferrari."
not only can this dumb bastard not spell, but says he's paying the "insurrance" and "mantainents" (that hurt me to type out) of a supra, then he talks about going to toyota and not bending over the over priced parts...way to contradict yourself...dick. can't wait till someone shows him up with an sti or something...if anyone is from CT, please, find him and run him off the road, as someone else suggested...

LinkyLinky

found a link on the subject...

at least he spelled Ferrari correctly, Ill give him that.

As far as his intent, he DID build a Ferrari lookalike out of spare parts, theres a heat register in front of each rear wheel, and theres a close up of the side vents on the link above.

Check it out.

it would have been nice if he had picked ONE ferrari to model, instead of creating a mish-mash of all of them, most notably the F-40-esque "hood scoops" on a car that otherwise looks NOTHING like an F-40. also, the painted on headlights over the pop-up headlights... just leave them as pop-ups! and the side panel strips look aweful, they just stop near the front of the car instead of blending in flush...

i guess my biggest peeve is that if you are going to mimic a ferrari, above ALL else you should mimic TASTEFULLNESS and REFINEMENT, because that is the essence of what ferrari is.

Ok, I was going to say give the guy a break, he was just trying to make something unique. THEN, I went to the link in Numist's reply, and now I kind of feel sorry for the guy. I still think he deserves a break, the breakdown was the best. It made my day.

Ha ha that sucks. This guy probably feels pretty bad when he reads his guestbook. He got a lot of hits too. It could have been worse, he could have denied that it was a Supra in the first place. Good thing he didn't--judging from the reactions I read, he might have been killed!

Excellent use of woodscrews in holding the fake carbon fiber panel to the back? Superb glued-on metal shelving trunk duct? Didn't know that ferrari doors had the louvers sticking out a solid 4 inches from the side of the door...

Feel sorry for that Supra. Just might have to go and find him in the Firebird or the Wagon over Thanksgiving break when I'm back in CT.
