You were lucky tantalizer, I didn't realize they were coming out with a new body style 3 months after I bought mine. I've been really happy with mine however, 101,000 miles now and no major problems.

Ty ziz . I used to hang play with a Roush when I was at home a summer or two ago. The side pipes they put on those sound nice, but I do have to say, I'll keep my Saleen thank you very much.

Hopefully in the upcomming summers my car is going to be going through an overhaul so to speak.

Plans for future:
Cobra 4 valve engine
800 RWHP turbo from Turbo driven concepts
A nitrous kit of some sort
Bigger brakes
Hopefully put 20x10's on in the back
Need to find a company that makes quality roll cages for mustangs.
Want to ditch the rear bumper and and muffler and go with the S351 or S281-E bumper so I can have the dual center tailpipes
Bullet proof all of the engine/driveline/...everything, so it won't break down under the tremendous amount of hp/torque.
I want to be able to pull over 1000 horses and torque. Oh, that would be awesome.
Upgrade my stereo system. (Have the mach 460 sound system, and it's alright, but...it could be better.)

I want to drop in some sparco (probably) racing seats with 5 point harnesses, and have them custom ahpolstered (sp?) with a special logo that I design.

New tranny, clutch, shifter.
New front bumper, and trunk lid. (small accidents)
Thought about the possibility of gullwing doors, or some sort of different door hinge. But I can't quite decide how that would look.

For the most part, I am pretty much a car n00b, and don't have a whole lot of technical car knowledge. If you couldn't already tell. But I do like them a whole bunch .

If anyone has any tips/questions/comments feel free to let me know what you think, I am all ears.

Upload it to the Internet, and then enclose the address of the image in image tages.

Example:

Just replace the | with [ and you are good to go.

Mighty Mouse: I am not trying to shoot anybody down but I think its gonna cost a ton first off to pull this off(not to mention the knowledge it will take just to stop the engine from exploding) but ill break it down like this. There are many formula 1 race cars that dont even have that much horsepower, he wont even have to give it full throttle to make the car do a back flip, even at light throttle it will be loud enough to get the cops called. Now I am not gonna say he cant do it but ill tell you its going to take a lot of know ho to stop him from killing himself in it.

Aaah....
I just wondered how any of the stuff he planned made it not street legal. There is no reason you can't run a 1000hp V8 on the street. Oh, and I'd be really really REALLY surprised if it backflipped. But, yes, I do agree he needs know work up to driving a 1000hp car.

Why not?

And also, this will be done in stages, for one thing, I don't have the money to do it all at once. Hell, I don't have the money to do any of it right now, those were just my plans. Granted the next step is the new engine which puts out around 400 horses i believe. My car puts out 283 rwhp right now. (not dyno'd just specs from saleen.)

Strife: The reason I brought up street legality is because I remember reading somewhere that 830HP was the limit but now I cant find it and I was told on another forum that it depends on what state your in. I want to emphasize though I am not shooting down your idea I am currently working on a turbo right now for my Hemi which will hopefully bring it from 345hp to 600-680HP.
Mighty Mouse: I think if he runs regular radials there wil be less of a chance of him flipping but if he has on slicks I think it would be nuts to not have a wheelie bar. And with legality I guess it either depends on his state or wheter he decides to run straight headers. If he runs straight headers I have no doubt he will break noise code and emissions is another state sometimes city variable for legality.

Huh, yeah even on slick I doubt it. 950hp in a Nova on slicks will run 8's without wheelie bars. I think a 1000hp daily driver is a very good idea. I won't have to wait for his slow ass to get on the freeway. As for open headers, my cousin's dinky 289 running open headers was over noise restrictions. I naturally assumed he would run full exhaust and have 1000hp.

rununununununununun!!!!

The cool thing about the turbo I want to put in, is that it has a 'wastegate '. And if I understand that correctly, I am able to dial in how much boost i want whenever I want, so I won't always be running with 1000hp. And that 1000 also includes nitrous.

I was giving some friends a ride one night, and the car was definately heavy, there was probably around 700 lbs of people in my car. And we were cruising on the highway, and this 3rd gen rx7 ( i think, whatever the newest generation is) kept egging me on and we would drive neck and neck for awhile, then I said, ok, (trying to show off some), let's go. I floor it and the last time I looked at the speedo we were doing 125mph, then the rx7 passes me like I was standing still. That sucked. So, imho, you can never have too much power

If you want to check out the turbo yourself that I am thinking about:

Turbo Driven Concepts

That's where it's at.

Oh, and I live in IL, and I would plan on running street radials. Probably the pirellis that are on there right now.

You bet But sadly, none of this is going to get done anytime soon, unless I run into an ass load of money somehow... AND, seeing as how I will be working up at school this summer, I won't have my car up here So its going to be at home in the garage. Tis sad really.

Heres my 98 Durango with angel eyes installed.

I'm going to be adding a new cam, lifters, pushrods, 1.6 rollers, street ported heads, 1.92/1.60 valves, M1 intake manifold, TB work, headers to 3" pipes to edelbrock mufflers, shackle lift, edelbrock IAS shocks, rear disc brake conversion, mopar performance PCM, and that should about do it. Replace tires with 33" mud-terrans, stock wheels.

Also I am thinking about getting a powerdyne SC after I finish the top end. N/A I would be running around 385rhp, so the SC might not be worth it.

my project car is this:

I am thinking about putting the mustang on the market for $5500, and buying another maxima and try to put some squirrels in it.

I didnt, I adjusted the flash for a better picture, and didnt shoot around the battery where the coloration is. Well I might have cleaned the engine alittle bit when I had the heads off.

A friend just crashed his 96 explorer (hehehhe, i know its mean, but he was talking some real shit) and im thinking about trying to get his 5.0 out of it for the mustang.
