that would definitely be fatal...

look at the dent, that truck is not a pickup, they both must have been at freeway speeds to have damaged the truck that much.... My uncle has one for his applicance business - I took out an oak tree with barely a scratch... (oops!)

ouch...

Yes .... Very Real!, here is teh link.

/Note~ DON'T click this link if you don't want to see what happened........ It isn't pretty, The guy is broken to bits, and his girlfriend is lying in the street quite dead I suppose I shouldn't have even brought up the subject...... but I did, and this may save the life or lives of people that jet around on "crotch rockets" thinking that this could never happen to them....... It happened to this guy, just one wrong move and he and his girl were dead......

At least he was wearing his helmet.

I wish I had not looked at the pics, they are pretty disturbing, but its like seeing signs that say wet paint, you have to touch.

keep off the throttle if you ride on the roads, ouch.

To those that say this is another reason to never ride a motorcycle, the same accident in a car would likely have killed the driver as well. Hitting a dump truck head on while flying low is never a good thing.

After clicking that link I don't know what is sicker, seeing the accident, or the guy using the water hose spraying everything away.

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!"

it only hurt for maybe what, 1/1000th/sec? Although it might have made the riders a little apprehensive just before contact

the thing that really gets to me is the helmet in the bars...

and in the pictures at ogrish, the bike is... not recognizable as anything other than a short, broken wheelbarrow... if that.

Damn that's some pretty sick shit. Almost as bad as pics I saw on the net of this guy doped up (crack I think) running from the cops. Found himself trapped on a rooftop so he jumped and decapitated himself on a fence. His head was skewered on a fence pole and his body was at the bottom of the fence... blood everywhere.

reminds me of the sight I witnessed a few weeks ago. a middle aged guy riding an older honda goldwing and wearing only a half helmet, tee shirt and jeans ran a red light in a busy intersection...he must have had some speed behind him and plowed straight into the drivers side of a brand new silver mustang. The bike exploded into a shower of twisted metal and plastic while the guy went head first over the car hit the asphalt and stopped on his back. It was messy and disturbing. Espcially since I have a cruiser style bike of my own and my boyfriend has a crotch rocket. its almost on a weekly basis we hear of someone in the bike community getting hit by cars

This isn't funny. It is a reminder about your own mortality. Car guys, don't dismiss this by saying "Well, sucks for him, glad I drive a car, motorcycles are so unsafe". Most of you will cite "Well, I heard of a biker dying another day" or "My friends neighbor died of a bike crash". Well, you can die just as easily in a car if the factors are stacked against you. I've had 4 people I knew, 3 pretty well and one not so well, die in 4 seperate car crashes, but you don't hear me yelling everytime a crash picture comes up "Hyuk, hyuk, cars are so dangerous, why would anyone want one?"

And to to whomever said "That's another reason why I don't ride bikes... no protection"... that bike was supossed to have been going pretty damn fast. If you were a car, your car would implode around you and give you a nice metal coffin instead of leaving you strewn about the roadway. There are people who ride their bikes all their life without an injury, and there are kids who get killed in the first 6 months of having their liscense. It can happen either way.

Bikes are not as safe as cars due to a lack of protection, but there are grisly crashes either way. Not many bikers get trapped in their bike and get burned alive. Not many bikers take their kids out with them. Either way, if stuff like this disturbs you that much, stay the fuck out of cars and walk. And hope you don't have to walk near a road, because pedestrians get hit on a daily basis .

I swear, motorcycles have such a negative connotation here in the United States and nothing is as safe as cars. Nevermind the fact that the rest of the world has so many more bikes than cars its ridiculous.
