Nice to see it in motion not to mention someone explaining how it works. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/large/1581-1.jpg http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/large/1581-2.jpg http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/large/1581-3.jpg http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/large/1581-4.jpg |
With te amountof toque made by the engine, no woder it has two wheels. Catch the 'torque roll' when he revs the engine.
|
I think it's ugly as hell, but the vid was cool and I'd like to take it for a ride.
|
I'd seen pics but never the video. Nice post, Thanks!
|
Very cool! Can anyone tell me how to save the video? Or can someone post the link?

i love this machine.
thanks for the show cyn. its so anime i just wanna have it! |
I can't see the video, but I have seen this bike before, but not naked! This bike is so awesome, but jesus if anyone could stay on it for longer than 15 seconds
|
He didn't get far on his 5 gallons...Great idea, anyway.
|
Wow, at least that confirms that somebody actually drove it. I don't know if I would consider that "driving" though.
Last I heard, all the speed numbers and times were theories because they wouldn't let anyone drive it for fear of.. you know, killing themselves. I wouldn't want to be the one that tests the quarter mile speeds of a vehicle that had 520 torque in something that weighs maybe 1000 pounds. |
Why didn't they put a Honda engine in it? Everyone knows those are the best.
Sorry couldn't resist. And I'm KIDDING, lighten up. :) |
Wow! 0 to oblivion in 4.3 seconds. One sweet way to remove yourself from the gene pool.
|
I want one of those more power
|
Yeah, not enough power.
|
Ugly as hell, looks like something Batman would drive.
I'd love to testdrive it though. |
Beats the sound of a Harley, even!!! I want two!
|
OMG that is TOO FUCKING COOL
I want one!!!!!!! |
The Tomahawk will be sold, only 10 will be sold. Heres the article
Reuters / September 30, 2003 "DETROIT (Reuters) -- For the "idling" rich, the Chrysler group said Tuesday that it had put a $555,000 price on collector editions of an outlandish four-wheel motorcycle. As many as 10 of the chrome-draped Dodge Tomahawks, with 500-hp V-10 engines and theoretical top speeds of 300 mph, will be built on demand for customers willing to put deposits on them, Chrysler spokesman David Elshoff told Reuters. One of the 1,500-pound Tomahawks already is being built for sale through the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog, said Elshoff, who added that all would be exact copies of the Art Deco-inspired Tomahawk concept that grabbed the spotlight at the Detroit auto show in January. The problem, apart from the hog wild cost, is that the Tomahawks won't be fully drivable, and are not intended for use on public roads or highways. "You couldn't license it for the street," Elshoff said, referring to various U.S. safety and regulatory problems. "We would consider them more rolling sculptures, or loud sculptures, than we would motor vehicles," he said of the V-10's ear-splitting roar. Elshoff said a handful of people already had expressed interest in snapping up one of the 10 Tomahawks. The target consumer is "someone with disposable millions," he said." |
...really seems to fit the description of "iron horse" - I know it's not precisely "iron" but it's a lot of horses 'tween the legs!
|
EEEEEEHEEEEEHEEEEHEEEEE
She ain't exactly pretty, is she? I saw a blurb of this in my Dodge mag a few months ago and my reaction was pretty much- "eeeeeeeheeeeeeeheeeeeeheeeee." DaVinci meets Mad Max meets H.R. Giger. |
Did he actually turn the thing himself to come back or did they have to use a forklift to point it back the way he came? :D
Its nice to finally see it move. I saw it in person at Sears Point Raceway here in CA. They turned it on and revved it but no one rode it. I wish they showed it turning, I'd love to see that. |
How well can those things turn? Because as I understand it, doesn't a motorcycle turn by lean? How can it lean with 2 wheels side by side? :-/
|
Ugly, way overpowered, good way to kill yourself at an extremely high rate of speed.
|
The lights between the two front wheels are pretty sweet... But I'd be afraid to get on it.
|
whoa, ressurected dead thread, I agree there are definately a lot of innovative attributes to that motorcycle, even though it may look goofy now, it may pave the way into a new era of motorcycles.
|
Sooo....Do I get the Robin costume with that, or is that sold separately?
OR, was someone watching a little too much TRON? four wheels, independant articulation on the turn sounds like a cool way to handle the power on the turn tho... |
One of the many sights that makes you wish you had "disposable millions":hmm:
|
Hmm, something to do with my 2nd million, after I make it.
Very cool. Completely useless, but cool nonetheless. |
How far would you get with the 5 gallons being guzzled by a v10 :O
|
so um....where do i get one?

who needs a V10 on a "motorcycle"?!? looks likes something you'd see on one of those Discovery Channel shows
|
Hey thanks for that clip....it's wierd looking but I like it!! Man that just sounds wicked for a 4 wheeled bike. I wonder how many miles per gallon it gets.

Cool bike. Jaguar needs to do one with there V12 now to compete. See a nice 1/4 mile with that thing..........wow
|
I want one.. I'd probably die on it, but it would be worth it
one problem with the design.. Wind will flow down and under the driver's torso, therefore forcing the driver up.. If you have enough wind, the driver possibly could get lifted off "peeled off" the bike. A retraint wouldnt work because you want to be able to roll off in case of accident.. |

Looks cool, but I wouldn't want one. Motorcycles aren't my thing.
|
That thing is so god damn ugly...
