RS=rally sport
SS=super sport
GT=gran turismo or grand touring
LE=limited edition

srt - special racing team (dodge)
svt - special vehicle team (ford)

ummm i'm pretty confident about those without looking them up...right?
s in srt might be street???

STi = Subaru Tecnica International

GTO - Gran Turismo Olmologato (spelling on the last word may be off)
SVO - Special Vehicle Operations
442 - 4-barrel carb, 4 spd manual, 2 exhausts
R - generally refers to Race, has become more generic
