The general theme comes from these 1939 Buicks, I think.

I'm not yet sure if I like this version.

soccerchamp76 10-07-2003 02:33 PM

Weird looking but cool.

ElwoodBlues 10-07-2003 02:46 PM

i saw that car in some movie...i forget what tho

Moonduck 10-07-2003 05:34 PM

Damn! That's slick.

merkerguitars 10-07-2003 06:41 PM

Very nice retro look......I like it. I wonder what it has under the hood.

laconic1 10-07-2003 07:07 PM

I dunno, I guess I'm tired of everybody going for the retro look cuz they can't design something new and exciting.

DEI37 10-07-2003 07:23 PM

I think it looks badass. GM just needs to get a 455 big block under the hood, like the old Buick GS...that would rock!

amen! that thing is sick.

JusticeForPhat 10-07-2003 09:54 PM

styling on that thing is amazing. Very cad-zilla-ish, good call on that Cynthetiq.

89transam 10-07-2003 10:30 PM

Looks sweet, but i dont think I could pull it off.

tfin 10-08-2003 01:13 AM

I like! I am eally likeing this long and sleek thing the concepts have going on. I just hope it comes through to the dealer floor.

Silvy 10-08-2003 01:26 AM

I don't know why, but I like it!

Scorps 10-08-2003 09:20 AM

Oh man with the head light up it looks so badass;)

I want one now.

etardedraverboy 10-08-2003 11:09 AM

that car is phat

Spyder_Venom 10-08-2003 12:11 PM

I like that, (crossing fingers) will we see it any time soon?

Stare At The Sun 10-08-2003 07:07 PM

That is really cool, i'd love to see more retro cars like that in production, a step back in this case is a step forward to be sure.

mighty mouse 10-08-2003 08:06 PM

We'll never get the 455, but maybe an LS1. Or the new big block out of the truck, that would rock. I think its got character. Not really my kind of car, too retro(as in old). I like old but to me 64 is really as far back as anything is worth owning.

bundy 10-10-2003 01:10 AM

down under, we have a term, ´only in America...´ that refers to things that are remarkably weird (to us) that Americans do or have...

i think that term is applicable in this instance for me... i mean, that is one exceptionally strange looking vehicle. it´ll never hit my shores.... which is a bit of a shame... its about time Australia got some pimp machines.

A buddy at work has a 1980 Buick Regal and he is 24:rolleyes:

thadon 10-13-2003 01:42 PM

I read a write up on this car a while back. Story goes Mike Doble at Buick commishioned this car. It has design cues from 1930's and 40's Buicks. It is meerly a one of car that will never see the light of production. And the engine is a 455 circa 1970 that makes 463hp ... this car was built in 2000 in anticipation of showing during Buick's 100 anniversary in 2003

ace81385 10-13-2003 05:09 PM

thats kinda neat but i wouldnt drive It

BigGov 10-13-2003 05:22 PM

Oh now thats bullshit....now that i know it has the good old big block I want one even more.

james t kirk 10-19-2003 03:07 PM

They would probably throw some piece of crap modern GM engine in it that would have a plastic intake manifold which would crack and destroy the engine.

Lyaec123 10-19-2003 07:17 PM

FUUUUUUGLY! Haha, actually its not that bad, but would look a lot better black or white or something...

never 10-19-2003 09:49 PM

thats pretty crazy loooking. damn

Scorps 10-20-2003 08:14 AM

If they eve do drop a POS engine in it....that makes it more fun for modding;)

BeBogus 10-22-2003 04:24 PM

haha.. .thats the closest retro future car you can get... THe prowler tryed to pull it off and looks more futuristic than retro... this is sort of the the other face of the same coin so to speak. :)

Scorps 10-23-2003 11:14 AM

What about the PT Cruiser and the new Chevy SSR?
