I've seen a guy do the same with a late 70s Cadillac. Towing a small boston whaler and just backed the trailer and the car right off the ramp. Same thing happened too. Nobody offered to help because everyone was scared of the liability. I was unhooked and had my tow strap but I wasn't going to take responsibility if he tied off in a bad spot and I damaged something. |

I can't believe no one helped him out ... it was as easy as throwing him a rope....he was already in the water, he'd snap it to his vette (no liability), and if the engine was shut down before the sinking, he could have had it running again. Most likely with a special "marine" perfume....but still...

i was thinking about that, does Florida have some sort of "good samaritan" law? A Lot of states have laws to protect those trying to help even if it doesn't work out, this way they can still help those in need instead of standing around playing with their navels while it sinks.

what i want to know is why a guy with the money for a nice vette and jetskies cant dish out a few bucks and at least rent himself a truck to tow his jetskies to the lake. that makes no sense to me.
how funny would it be seeing a vette towing a trailer down the freeway. thats just asking to be laughed at. i just want to know what kind of moron can come to the conclusion that towing anything with a vette is a smart idea. i could see a couple of his friends saying "man why didnt you just buy a truck. a vette just isnt for you." or as he's leaving "dude, that just looks retarded. just open the wallet and spend a few bucks and rent a truck." |
