advice please...
I'm not sure where to post this, but it relates to cars, so i guess here's a good a place as any.
Ok, here's the situation. A little while ago, some punk at my school broke into my car ('92 civic ex) and stole some stuff. Of course, this pissed me off greatly...not the stolen goods, but the fact that he opened up my car so easily. I reported it to the school and filled out some forms...but of course, the school is pretty useless. Anyways, I stopped parking at school for a while....and after a little while I parked in the student lot. The same punk left my doors unlocked for me to find and the end of the day. So now I just don't park at school anymore. It's really a big inconvienance. A friend of mine suggested, that to find this guy, i get someone to put a video camera in their car, in a position where it can see my car and if the guy comes and unlocks my doors again, I'll have video evidence....and i can properly kick his ass. btw, I can't leave any of the doors unlocked by accident because i can't lock the door unless I use the key, and the main lock also locks all the other doors. do u guys have any suggetions? or even if anyone knows how the person broke into the car? nothing was broken, no scratches of any sort... :( |
You can break into a car lots and lots of ways....coathanger between the window seal.....lock picking kit......or pulling the door back far enough to shove a stick in to hit the unlock button....My suggestion is to by an alarm, won't make it theft proof but more of a detterent. Ir try the camera trick. Most likely if you catch him the cops won't do alot. Better to beat his ass.(unless he'll run to the cops saying you beat him and get your ass in jail).....Or maybe you'll get lucky and catch him in the act. Usually once a thief strikes once he won't come back but you never know.

This might sound too violent and I know it is not really a cool thing to say, but damn do these thiefs/criminals piss me off:mad: Why vandalise people's property? Other than that, get any commercial detector siren combo that detect intrusion. Available at Car accessory shops I believe but its not really a solution if you get my drift. |
Gee if you break his bones incognito, he'll never work out who did it - must have been some random psychopath (what rotten luck!)

Could be the guy who sold you the car - happened to a friend, of a friend of mine.

He probally used a slim jim..... you can pop the locks on just about any car with one, although the fact that he just opened your doors without taking anything the second time is sort of strange.... the camera idea is a good one except it would probally take awhile to catch him... plus he more than likely won't mess with it for awhile because he would expect you to be looking out for him. I would get a alarm....

an alarm...
i want to get an alarm..and i will soon. right now i'm kinda unemployed...insurance and gas money are enough as it is.
the thing is, i think i think he will do it again...just to show me that he can get into my car... i really want to kick his ass....i'll tempt him with a 5 dollar bill on the seat or something... |
Or one day, just sit and watch your car if you know he's gonna try to get into it again. The instant he tries to break in, lead pipe to the skull.
"Sorry officer, he was trying to break into my car and he saw me coming to my car, and I had to defend myself" |
Hmmmm Bait is a good idea, but something better than a $5..... maybe a empty CD case? Ahhhh, I got it! wrap a empty box up like a present.... all pretty with a big bow, what would be really cool is one of those exploding dye packs that banks use :) LOL! he opens the 'present' and Blam! Would be easy to figure out who he is then :D.... too bad you can't get one of those :(

yeah... we were assholes... but that was my younger days. |
Set up the video recorder, get him on tape, then have his ass thrown in jail and pounded by every angry black man in lock-up.
