I am looking for a boat that is not too expensive....
Anyone know / recommend a boat maker? What is a good motor as well.

yamaha, then honda, then mercury, then the rest

as for a good boat, contenders are really good, so are intrepids, but i dont know what type of boat u mean, nor what price range

Price range under 20,000......Probably not a below deck boat. Something like a Bow rider.

You can put a few logs together with a sail and have a nice boat for under $20,000.
