Not really a bumper sticker, but.......

I saw this logo on the back window of a Holden on the way home.
Alongside the logo, were the words:

http://autobadger.com/images/FORD-BADGE.jpg

at least they circled the problem...

LMAO!!!

After owning three Ford cars, a Plymouth, a Toyota, and a Buick, I would say that Ford cars certainly do not suck.

LOL U got that right, My van is 20 years old...well maybe 21 now...and she still runs great

zfleebin 08-20-2003 06:55 PM

I owned two fords both explorers and the only real problem they had were the chepie plastic pieces in the interior. They both ran damn good and were nicely powered.

rival 08-20-2003 10:01 PM

My family owned one ford car. A 1994 Mercury Sable. Biggest POS ever.

The only good thing I have to say about Ford is that I was born too late to have had any chance of coming into contact with an exploding Pinto.

It's been awhile, but Jesus Christ, what assholes.

Quote:

One of the tools that Ford used to argue for the delay was a "cost-benefit analysis" of altering the fuel tanks. According to Ford's estimates, the unsafe tanks would cause 180 burn deaths, 180 serious burn injuries, and 2,100 burned vehicles each year. It calculated that it would have to pay $200,000 per death, $67,000 per injury, and $700 per vehicle, for a total of $49.5 million. However, the cost of saving lives and injuries ran even higher: alterations would cost $11 per car or truck, which added up to $137 million per year. Essentially, Ford argued before the government that it would be cheaper just to let their customers burn!

Zooksport2 08-21-2003 02:09 AM

Just to square things away, I am a Holden fan, but have also owned Fords as well. I had a Chev as well. And they all broke down, and they all cost me money, at some time or other.

Tickford 08-21-2003 02:20 AM

ahhhh...... the age old ford vs holden debate. Caused many a fight in a pub....

yoda77 08-21-2003 10:00 AM

HikingHigh 08-21-2003 11:20 AM

haha, very funny..but nothin against fords here...that's what pops drives :)

Tickford 08-23-2003 06:56 AM

Its been along time coming, but I think that ford oz is really getting there shit together. Coming out with some really good stuff. Take the XR6 Turbo, now thats a car.

Peryn 08-23-2003 09:33 AM

The foreign (at least to americans) Ford lines in my opinion are better quality and better cars all around. The american line blows in quality and attraction. Their trucks are slightly better but are overrated and way to trendy. At least in so cal. Had a ranger we just got rid of. Wow, that thing sucked. Course grandpas still got a '76 f150 custom with the crew cab (or whatever it was called then) and extended bed. Beast of a truck, just underpowered for its size. But honestly, in '76 what wasn't?

Zooksport2 08-23-2003 06:12 PM

And look! they won a race!!!! (hehehehe)

coke babies 08-25-2003 06:54 PM

I've driven two Fords and never had a problem with either, but I still find that quite funny.

We have a 96 merc sable, we never had any problems untill it hit 200k miles. I hear the Ford Taurus has major problems though.

impreza56 08-30-2003 01:51 AM

it totally depends on what time period you're lookin at. Plus i guess what part of the world you're from. Can't tell you much about american cars except that mustangs are cool but for australia the BA falcon kicks the VY commodore.

Ford Trucks Rule

gal 08-16-2004 12:38 PM

LOL! My Ford has been making that about to explode sound from GTA for about 2 years. Still holding up, but I trust that car as far as I can throw it.

twilightfoix 08-21-2004 10:06 PM

that's some funny shit right there.

KirStang 08-21-2004 10:38 PM

Everybody hates ford, yet they're still the #2 largest car manufacturer in the world. Personally i'm tired of the ford bashing, but i can appreciate the humor from that bumper sticker :)

Zooksport2 08-21-2004 11:00 PM

I have a lot of Taxi's coming in to work, and most of them are fords. Have worked on Fords with over 1 MILLION Kilometers on the speedo. Gearboxes and diffs being what was replaced most. Engines very long lastings. (Note we are talking 4.0litre 6 cylinder running on LPG, mostly) Highest Holden has been around 800,000 Ks. and owners tell mainly of engine probs.

But I would buy either.....

merkerguitars 08-22-2004 03:15 PM

Actually i've been seriously thinking about getting a sticker like that for my mustang....

present_future 08-23-2004 01:23 PM

You know what FORD stands for right?

Fixed Or Repaired Daily

I prefer "First On Race Day" or "For Off RoaD"

Personally anyone that buys an American built car can expect problems. They just are not built worth a damn.

BowTies are for funerals.

Scorps 08-27-2004 07:35 AM

What about Found On Russian Dump, or Fired Old Rebuilt Dodge:D

#2 means they are the first losers :D

Chevy will always be number 1

reconmike 08-29-2004 06:18 AM

How about "Fast Only Rolling Downhill"

But at Ford quality is job 2, putting the fire out IS job #1

So...chevy must be somewhere further down the list ;)

Destrox 08-29-2004 06:25 PM

While being sick of the ford bashing by people who really havnt a clue other then it being a trend, I can appreciate the humor in that. Glad to see creative humor like that.

All vheicles suck equally, and have pros and cons.

Personally I'll take a ford truck over any other, as for cars I'll stay non-american made.
