Come on, they should keep their dignity as the one company who hasn't caved in and made an SUV.

What's up with all these morons that buy SUVs? Most SUVs are driven by soccer moms to the hair salon or grocery store. In this case, what can an SUV do that a Passat Wagon 4-Motion or Subaru Legacy Wagon can't?

I recently drove a Saab 93 which was lovely, fairly quick but not lightning as I only had the 150 bhp version. There is a 210 BHP version which Is the one I'd buy. Anyway it was a lovely car to drive, very comfortable no road noise, and cruised quite happily at 90-100 mph.

But that car looks cack.

keep in mind, saab is no longer european strictly speaking. the bean counters in GM now run saab, theres no telling where the new model concepts will go. a pretty damn cool concept recently was the 9 X, i hope thats not what this 98 is supposed to be.

with regards to the 93 vector (the 210bhp version, here in the US), its a damn snappy car, can beat most mid-range sports cars off the line (turbo really boosts the powerband to lower rpm's). cruises well at just about any speed, and weve gotten it to 130

personally im hoping to get my hands on a 98 9000 cse, aero engine, the last year the 9000 was made. one of their greatest cars imo.

I'm not really impressed with it. Saab should stick to slightly quirky cars.

i think it looks decent, better than volvo one.

but i agree, saab should hold out on the suv market, just out of pride. plus i think that its on its way out

i sure hope that this quirky car company (saab) doesn't go so mainstream with an suv. it just doesn't seem right.

Doesn't seem right??? Yes, you're right.
But what does seem right in today's automotive world? How about Porsche's Cayenne? It's a disgrace... But in order to increase their market share they had to build it. Because we're living in a world of SUVs... Sadly...
