I'd have to say that I wouldn't buy hydraulics based on price. I bought my set (supposedly slightly used) for 600 bucks, and they only worked on the ride home.
Don't get me wrong, they were really nice when they were expensive (new): chrome CCE 2-pump set-up, 10 switches. I ended up having to spend almost five times that amount just to get the truck back together and on the road. Also, as has been stated, unless you're dead set on hopping it, check into bags. I've got them now, and they ride better, don't make as much of a mess, and work much easier. Heck, with the right gas/valves, you can hop on bags. Also, check into the shop that's doing the work. I got the juice done at a "professional" shop 3 hours away, that I'd heard was great, and got burned. My bags were done by some local guy in his friend's garage, and he ended up being WAY more talented than the shop that I'd gone to before. Either way, you can get some good deals from Cool Cars in Kentucky. Do a search for their website, they've got good stuff. Also, I've still got the usable parts from my set-up for sale, CHEAP. Try finding some car enthusiasts in your area that may know someone with a GOOD used set-up, or where you can get good stuff new. For cheap decent juice check out CCE or Luxor. Do yourself a favor and pickup a copy of Lowrider magazine. Or Minitruckin' if you decide on bags (yeah, it's about trucks, but minitruckers tend to have the most info/products for bags).

I would go for showtime or prohopper. I got hte american hydraulics kit becasue it was cheap and that was a mistake. Hydros are fun and all but sometimes they are a pain in the ass. Also you caprice maybe big but it can hop. Check out the link in my sig for my car.
