Don't forget that the entire limited production run of 300 or so Enzo's was sold out before the first one ever rolled out of assembly. The ones for sale now are being resold even though I'm sure many resells will still be new never titled.

I love many Ferraris and the performance of the Enzo is superlative, but I always had a big soft spot for the "classic" look of the '67 275 GTB/4. In 1972, when I was shopping for my first sports car just after getting out of college, I had a chance to buy one for just over $14k USD but since that was more than a year salary for me then, I got a perfect '67 XKE roadster instead for $2200. That Ferrari model later sold for over $1million but soon the speculators fell out of the market and now you can get one for a few hundred thousand less.

To expand on what Gnzo said about owning one. It's kind of implied in his post but is a little unclear. You had to be invited to purchase one.

Jay Kay originally declined his invitation (WTF???), but then he saw one in black and had to have one. Somebody else backed out of the deal and Jay Kay got another chance at owning one, he jumped at it that time.

They're having a Ferrari expo at a local art museum. Gotta say that the old ones are so pretty. This one is nice, sure, but some of those old Ferraris have so much style.

not sure since I am a little short on the 1.2M, but historically, the F40 and F50 I think after you qualified, by owning 5 or 6 Ferarris, it gave you the right to Lease the new Ferarri. after the 2 year lease or whatever, you could buy it, but it forced you to have it for a couple of years, and it was still Ferarris car....

One awesome ride... but lets assume we can afford to buy it.... that doesn't mean we would have the money to maintain that car for everyday use. I read a review in Car Mag. about an individual that purchased one and some of the figures for other things were insaine. for example:
Price per pint of motor oil - $60 Total number of pints in car is 12.3... so that comes out to a little over $700 for an oil change.
Price per Brake calaper - $12,000
haha... for that kind of money i could by a damn kia every time i had to replace the damn thing
Still a bad ass car but it just scares me the price to maintain one of these beasts if you were to drive one often.

I think Ferrari should take a few of its factory sports car racers and go for a track day at the old Nurburgring, just to put it on the top of the all-time production car records there

Ferrari Enzo: $659,000, 217mph top speed, 0-60 in 4

Suzuki Hayabusa + turbo, exhaust, etc: $20,000, 230-240mph top speed, 0-60 in 3

I'll take the Hayabusa please. BTW, does anyone have any 1/4 mi times for the Enzo?

Just the fact that this sports car is compared to a motorcycle and not a car for speed and accel specs puts it in a league of its own.... along with a McLearen and the Saleen S7 of course.

First off, the Enzo looks sooooooo much better in person. I've seen a red one at an auto show, and a yellow one at a dealership. Photos do it no justice. Second off, I would do many illegal things to own that car. Third, I have a pics of it at the showroom, but I can't attach pics (too newb I guess), and my uplink is down. It's a kinda shitty pic, but at least I can say I've seen it in person (as well as a Saleen S7. I've been in that car)...

The "Ferrari-Killer" Ford GT can only beat the slowest, cheapest Ferrari. Put it against the 575 or Enzo and it is toast.

Are you sure? Because that's what everyone else said about the original GT40 before LeMans, and I believe it was the GT40 that was the winning car when it came out.
