Help me choose some new wheels for my Civic
I've narrowed it down to these four. They're all 17x7", Hyper-black in color, and within $10 of the same price.
Now it's up to you TFPers to help me choose which one I'll buy. <center>

I voted 1. I dont like how the spokes on #4 taper off towards the edge. I would have gone #4 if the spokes were just straight.

speaking strictly in terms of which wheel I like best, I vote for #3. However, as art mentioned, on a Civic, I dont think 17 (or even 16) inch wheels look right. Personally, I wouldnt invest that much money in wheels for a car like a Civic.
Also, in order to fit the tire/rim combo in the wheel-well, you'll likely be going with some really low profile tires, correct? probably 50's, right? Keep in mind that extreme low profile tires like that will make the vehicle's ride very rough. Tires are part of the suspension system, and as such, they perform some of the same function as shocks/struts, ie absorbing the assorted bumps/shocks of the road. Low profile tires, because they have short, stiff sidewalls and less air (by volume) in them, do not absorb much in the way of road shock. Now granted, the car will handle more like a true sports car with them, but the trade off is a rough ride. just a friendly warning from a former tire salesman.

Thanks, Sion, but I wasn't born yesterday and I know plenty about the affects of low-profile tires and how shocks work. In fact, I already have coil-over shocks with incredibly stiff springs and I love the way my car handles. The tires are actually 40-series, and have 3.38" sidewalls which is plenty. Right now I already run 15" wheels on 50-series Pirellis with 4" sidewalls. As far as spending money on wheels for a Civic, WTF is your point? I bought the car because I planned to keep it until I'm an old man, not so I could re-sell it once I got bored with it. Also, in a couple years--maybe less--I plan to move up to 18" wheels with 35 or 40-series tires under flared fenders.
I ended up going with choice #1, but in silver instead of black; they look much better.

I think #4 is the most flattering for a car like that, the smooth lines of the wheel will compliment your black civic (it was black, right?). I don't like hidden lug nuts. Also, don't civics have 4 lug hubs, or did they change that? If so, hoping these are available in 4 lug, all the pictures are 5.
