86 Mazda B200 BEEF UP
Hey all, I was wondering what else is involved in an engine swap from 80 hp to about 300.
I know the Engine, Engine and tranny mounts, tranny, remachined & strengthened driveshaft, new stronger differential that spins both rear tires, new shocks, bigger radiator... Maybe raise up rear 1-3 inches for slightly larger tires (burnout preventative). Is there anything else, any suggestions, etc?... I Have Current (still 80HP) pics, although they may come later, just need time for webposting. Oh ya, I am thinking of putting a chevy 350 engine in. |

Aight
current Engine is the stock B200 engine a 1998CC engine Straight 4, What other specs are you looking for?
I will get a Manual 350 tranny, and new knob/connection to tranny so it will fit. I have totalled the costs up: a rebuilt 350 fuel injection engine approx $1200, other stuff totalled $1800-2300... one other good thing is that I'll be doing this myself, with the help of friends (some are Mechanics) I love the body style of my truck and how it handles( I know that will change) but I just REALLY like my truck, I just would like more power. I know that this swap can be done relitively easy, I have found custom motor mounts for it too. Last edited by cpugamerbb; 07-12-2003 at 11:42 PM.. |
