Sion I really enjoyed that post! I can't wait to go on some bike trips.
I am trying to hit my dad up for one, I told him that I would take him out last Fathers day for a camping trip all on me but his bike was in the shop last summer. He got a new one this year, well kind of new. A 84 Honda Magna V65 I believe is the title. I had the pleasure of riding it a few weekends back, just a short rip, but man that thing was quick! I just got my bike insured today. Went for a little 35km ride today just to try out the new highway pegs and try to adjust the shield correctly. If the weather is okay tomorrow I plan on taking it out on a longer one. Forecast is calling for thunder showers though so that might be put on hold. |
Did a great ride from my place down 50 past the state tree park to Harley dealer off 81, flipped onto 7 and rolled over the mountain to my folks place in the 'burbs. About 90 miles with plenty of hills and valleys and the traffic isn't too bad if you're doing the reverse commute. Time to cool off with a brewski.

We had a wet, cold spring in the mountains. While I have 1500 miles in this year, it's mostly riding to work and short trips. The weather and roads are only now getting appropriate for longer rides. I still haven't managed to get the Valkyrie "biker bar/photograph" clean this year. I inevitably end up riding through something before I finish. |

Thought I'd resurrect an old topic for a new bike.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...th_guzzi03.jpg 2011 Moto Guzzi Norge GT8V I've only had it for 2 days and 250 miles, so far. The owners manual suggests steep, winding roads for break-in ... sure, twist my arm. |
my bike
I wanted to post pics of my '08 V-Star 650 Midnight Custom, but I can't because I don't have enough posts. :'( It's metallic black, with a gray ghosted flame on the top of tank and tail -Sufficient Power up to about 70mph, and gets over 50mpg. Noice! I also love the look of the Yamaha's fatter and wider body/gas tank compared to Honda and even the Sportster. V&H Short Shots just added.
I'll post a pic when I get to the required 15 posts. sorry guys and gals |
