F1 Hungary
horrible crash for Massa.
The news coming out at the moment unconfirmed is that he isnt seriously injured, but that was just horrible to watch. Kind of hard to talk about the racing in light of it until we have firm news - but Jenson needs a big result this weekend. |
look like Massa isnt out of the woods yet, reports are that he has a fractured skull...
After he was struck by the debris from Rubens car I think he was out, it was pure reaction that he was capable of breaking somewhat before he hit the wall when he was half out... I guess everyone is praying that that reaction saves his life |
You keep teaching me more and more, yet none of it has to do with the topic at hand.
I rarely watch the qualifying rounds, but you've given me a story incentive to check the time trials online. I'll see how this shapes up for the race tomorrow, 'cause as of this entry, I don't the race order yet. |
Alonso on poll, Lewis was 4th, Jenson 8th... dont remember any if other placings, but I think Vettell was 2nd.
after edit Grid (top 10) Alonso Vettel Webber Hamilton Rosberg Kovalienen Raikenen Button Nakajima Massa (*) (*) wont be taking part in race |
Wow, I didn't realize any of this.
Didn't remember that the next race was this weekend (but every other weekend seems to be the typified timeline for races), or how serious Massa was injured. I need to crawl the F1 news online to get properly up-to-date. Thanks for the topical reminder, and relevant event news. It was strangely absent and silent the previous race. |
payers to Massa...xoxoxoo
|
If he'd have hit the barrier at full speed I think he would be done for... he took a lot of speed off of the crash, I dont know how.
These guys are all racers and they have to carry on regardless, they all know there are risks involved. This is the first time track temp will be back up up around 90+ so interesing to see if Brawn are back on the pace or not. In quali it didnt look like they were. Big decision coming up as to whether Webber or Vettel is the man, if they dont make it it could let Jenson have a free run home. |

shit, "serious but stable" is the second worst status they give out
come on Massa, pull through son. |
Eerily similar to the accident that claimed Sertes live last weekend at Brands Hatch.

edit - after rereading the article, don't think Bernie's hinting at anything being done. But I'm sure the FIA will certainly fully investigate. |
win for Lewis!
|
Good run for Lewis, good to see him get the win, scary shit seeing Alonso's wheel take off down the track, mechanics have to make sure those bad boys are on right, the tether is pointless if the wheel is on loose, luckily it went off the track right away and didn't hit anyone.

Renault is being excluded from the next race - Valencia!!!!
I've seen reports that ticket sales for this race are really lagging. Eliminate Alonso from the grid and no one will show. |
Doctors who performed surgey on Felipe Massa after his qualifying crash have reported that he has sustained some injuries to his left eye. The extent of the injury is not known, but it has prompted concerns that this injury could end his racing career.
