Glad to see Rubens still has a drive.

the simplified front wing seems to have gotten away from them....glad to see them at it,hope USF1 makes it too!...xoxoxoo

You mean USGPE?
Apparently the FIA owns all F1 related trademarks and Williams is the only team allowed to use it directly through a grandfather clause. Thus, they are now US Grand Prix Engineering. |
USF1....USA( N. Carolina) based F-1 team headed by Ken Anderson (designer) and Peter Windsor(journalist+)....soon to be apearring at a track not to near you...xoxoxoo

fiatguy's right, no longer will be called USF1 as per the reasons he cited.
The new Brawn just shattered the pole record at Catalunya, besting all other teams in winter testing! Honda dropped development of the 08 chassis midyear last season to concentrate on the 09. Looks like they got it right. Bring it on!!!! |
I think Ross Brawn is a huge asset to F1 and it's great he has this team with such potential.
|
What's really interesting is that the Brawn uses a Mercedes customer engine. Meanwhile the McLaren Mercedes team is far off the pace in testing. This season will be fun to watch. With testing limitations in effect this year, its going to be critical for McLaren to fix their problems quickly or risk being behind for the entire year.
|
Its hard to imagine the world champion being stuck in a poor car the following season, but stranger things have happened. Renault seemed to have lost the plot after Alonso won the WDC in 06. I don't put too much stock in winter testing, the teams do all sorts of technical/mechanical/political things to play around with the lap times, but breaking a 08 pole time was impressive. Best of luck to Brawn/Honda/Mercedes, hope it goes better than ProstGP. The car body looks good.
