This year's Sno*Drift Rally, held in Atlana, MI, brought a frothy mixture of high horsepower and tasty hydrocarbons to a quaint, rural town. Did you catch those friggin' sweet AfterEffects titles? Expect more of the same.

Right now, we're deep in the heart of Missouri to cover the 100 Acre Wood Rally here in Salem. We've upped our camera count from two to five to bring you exactly what you crave: dirty, naughty racing obscenity. If you catch us in our megaphone-equipped gunmetal-brown Saab 9-7x, stop and say hi. Press on regardless!

Matthew Johnson, who drove a WRX that came in 15th overall and 4th in the Super Production class, is a very good friend of mine. I worked with him for many years before I started freelancing and he started racing full-time. He's slid me around more corners in more cars than I care to admit. He was driving the car when I went as fast (on the ground) as I've ever been--170 in a product Porsche 911 turbo.

dammit... i was focusing so hard on the embed for the video, that I didn't realize my original text didn't get into the first part.

rb, that's freakin' cool. I only knew straight racers so I only got the exhilaration of 0-60 in something ridiculous. Drifting wasn't common at the time, unless you were a Duke boy in Hazzard County.

Good to see all of those Subies out there representing. We're supposed to get 10 more inches tonight, so I'm going to my nearest giant empty parking lot to play around in mine!

That's very cool in many ways. Earlier this winter I was searching for some snow/ice racing near here...there used to be some held on frozen lakes in NE PA/Poconos but apparently the nearest now is in NY. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me adding some pics I collected of such action, including some from a track day on snow at Monticello Motorsports Park in NY.

When I saw that I thought it's a Saab Sonett...when Saab ventured into sports cars from 1956 to 1974. But I haven't found pics yet of any Sonetts with exactly that front bumper design.
