I forgot to keep the rubber side down x_X (accident pics no blood)
I was going to take my puppy dog up to my sisters and GGs townhouse in college station so GG and I could go to a christmas party.
I was headed West into the setting sun on Hwy 105, almost to hwy 6. As I was cresting the hill the cars in front of me all hit their brakes and I hit mine. only my wheels locked up and my ABS didn't kick in so I went sliding back and forth and onto the side of the road going sideways and then rolled. The passenger side went down first and then everything was all crazy... hard to describe just loud and dusty and violent. we rolled 1 1/4 times, stopping on the passenger side. After we stopped moving I was pretty dazed and hanging from my seatbelt. I looked around and saw my puppy who had been sitting in the passenger seat sitting on the ground/door where the window used to be. He was looking up at me. I was able to get out of my seatbelt and I picked up Raider and tried to push thru the windshield, it wouldnt move. I looked around and saw that the window on the lift gate was open so I went out that way. after checking Raider over he looked fine and so I set him down and sat down on the hillside while people who stopped were running over. I'm pretty much fine, went to the hospital and they did a CT scan of my upper torso and neck and said everything looks fine. My scalp has some scrapes, but nothing serious... looking at the pics I think I used it to keep the roof from crunching in more... Today I feel better then I thought I would... my scalp feels tight and weird and my upper back/lower neck are pretty sore, as are all the muscle in my neck. My head around the area by my right ear/temple/jaw joint are pretty tender and feel bruised, and It looks like I'm getting a black eye on that side as well. Raider, my puppy seems to be just fine and is acting like his normal self, its amazing he wasn't hurt at all... he wasn't strapped in at all. His kennel in the back had the door ripped off and was popped partly open... I dont think he would have been so lucky in there. here are the pics GG took right after she drove up on the scene... I had left in the ambulance a few minutes before she arrived, she was able to gather all my stuff up and take some pics. so remember y'all... drive safe!

Im very glad you and the puppy are ok, hopefully you're not feeling worse (2 days afterwards is usually when its the worst, my car got rammed into a concrete sign 9 years ago and the next day I was sore but on day 2 I couldnt move at all).

Brutal.
Glad to see you and the dog are OK. Do you think the Explorer's size contributed to the roll?

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone...
The High center of gravity certainly didn't help... But at highway speeds almost any car can roll in the right (errr wrong) situation... I think the fact that I was going downhill a bit, and that the median was pretty soft so my tires were digging in as I was sliding sideways had as much or more to do with it then the height or size of the vehicle.

We too are glad to hear that you and the puppy came out as well as you did. Things definately could have been worse. Hope that you feel better soon!
I do agree with you that ANY vehicle can roll over when turned sideways.

They're jerks because I had my own way of transporting the vehicle for free. The officer who told the tow truck driver to take the car without my consent knew I had AAA. Due to them being jerks, they towed the vehicle 30 miles away to a POS town and then wanted $400.00 to get it out and back to his house. His own property, $400.00 after being in an accident. The car was not in the road at all, it was fine. They wouldn't give me the time to get my guys there. It was really shady.
