I can hear the buzz of the motor just from the pictures.

Gorgeous car.
I'm still disappointed they stopped making the Corrado. |
looks like an awesomely fun vehicle...though the poor thing looks angry already
|
I really like that look. The thing must be a pocket rocket.
|
First VW I've liked in a very long time.
|
Meh, it doesn't impress me. It looks too much like a flattened-out Golf. You guys are better off waiting for them to bring back the R32.
|
The only R32 I'd like to have is the Nissan Skyline...as long as they could correct that crazy wrong-side steering defect.
|
Looks like a Citroen and a Peugeot had sex and popped this baby out. Seeing that those are two of my favorite cars I like this a lot!

The Scirocco was introduced in 1974 (1975 US) and was replaced by Corrado in late 80's early '90. It was based on the Golf/Rabbit chassis but little else did it have in common with the Golf/Rabbit. It was a compact sports car, with amazing performance and handling.
Yours Zweiblumen PS: The Corrado name was just publishity-stunt as it is logically just a new model of the Scirooco since the Corrado is also based on the Golf chassis |
I owned a 1974 4 cylinder Scirocco and loved it. Always wished I had the 6 cylinder but probably couldn't have afforded the extra fuel consumption.
This new one looks great. The interior looks more like an aiplane cockpit. |
dang I've been driving VW's since my first car.....this looks cool but dosn't it kinda look like a fast and furious Honda Civic ? from the rear ?

I've never seen the old Scirocco, but this does have a lot of Golf influence. Incidentally, it's got the same big-ass '08' on the side as the new Audi A3 (I think). I work at the VW plant here in SA, but I doubt I'll see one of these anytime soon. |
