Saab 9-3?
 

Does anybody have any first hand experience with Saab 9-3 circa 2005? I'm toying with an idea of getting a new car and I've been fond of Saabs for quite some time now. How's the realiability/safety/features stack up to the competition?

i have a '97 9-3 really love it! we've got the diesel not had a peep of trouble and i have to say that the seats are the comfiest i have ever sat in!
good interior build quality, etc. much prefer it to the competition, who needs another 3 series on the roads!?

Great cars. 32 mpg and still quick. However the frequency of repairs is high and costly. I would highly recommend purchasing an extended warranty. If you have a Saab dealer in your area and your car is under warranty you'll be in good shape. The engines and drivetrain hold up quite well. Its all the little repairs that will drive you crazy. You should be able to purchase at NADA trade in (same as wholesale) or less. The resale value on these drop pretty quickly. I don't mean to be so negative. they are good looking cars and a blast to drive.

The linear (175hp) or the aero (210hp)?

Whichever I can I find at good price. I won't shun from the Linear, but Arc or Aero would be nice.
