Lowriders, who has one?

As the title says. Does any one else here have a low rider? With or with out hydros? I have one. Back in high school I wanted to have one but was way to poor. So now I am out of college and have lots of time to burn so I made one. The car is a 79 Ford LTD. I have 6 batts, 2 pumps, 3 ton coils in front, and 2 tons in the rear. I have pics and my lame story of hte project in the link in my sig.

the story looks pretty cool so far. Can't wait to see the finished product on the LTD

Targa top, couldn't imagine a riv as just a hardtop. And customized accented paint. Believe me this gets lots of looks and compliments whenever it's out. atrocious. I think not, but to each his own.

I'm not too into lowriders, but it looks like you did alot of good work on that Riv. Excellent paint job.

Well I thought I would give an update to this thread. Here is a starting pic of wht I started with.

The car is a '79 Ford LTD. I have many auto projects that I want to do but this was by far the least expensive. So I got this car. Got some hydraulics, and started working.

Now this is what I have now.

I have more work to do and some more pics to come when it stops raining here. If you want to se how I got from the first pic to the last pic check the link in my sig.

My brother has a 57' Impala (Batman wings). He bought it from the orginal owner. It's got the original plates (from Michigan). I'll snap a picture of it when he's finished restoring it.

Hmm, if you count a laid out mini-truck as a lowrider, why yes, yes I do have one.

I guess it was a little more "lowrider-esque" when it had chrome CCE hydraulics and 14" chrome rims, but it's actually lower now with full airride...still has the 14's though.

I'd love to build a full on, diamond tuck, wire rim, candy flake Impala, though.

I ground down all the sharp edges. There are a lot of pics that I wish i could have taken. Basicaly I cut the roof off. Then I had a bood made for the rear end. Then I welded the boot on and fabed it up so it looked like it belonged there. Then I striped nad painted the car.
