Race Car Restoration
http://www.mat.fi/project1984toyotacelicaturbo.htm
Background info: This 1984 Toyota Celica 4WD is one of many rally cars from the Group B era. This short-lived era of rallying produced some of the most fearsome machines to roam the planet, including the Audi Quattro, Lancia Delta S4, Renault R5 turbo, Peugeot 205 T16 and Ford RS200. Limited only by the engineer's imagination, the manufacturers' budget and by the FIA's requirement that they produce 200 road going versions for homologation, the sky was the limit for how powerful and fast these rockets could go. Unfortunately they became too fast and after a series of tragic crashes that took the lives of drivers and spectators alike, the FIA abruptly ended the program after the 1986 season. |
Mighty fine collection of historic beauty!

wow, just looked at all 311 pics, that was amazing. thousands of hours of work. What horsepower did that (or does that) have? I liked how some of the other cars there kept finding their way into the pics, like the Ferrari, XKE, Smokey and the Bandit Firebird etc.

the history of these cars are pretty cool. now after browsing though those photos, i was kind of disappointed to see the car behind ropes and not being driven! the bums likely never even put gas in it yet!

Damn. I need to get all the Flash and or Shockwave goodies working on my computer again. I can see enough of the site just to tell I'm missing something.
Edit: Fixed the Flash and now I see what I was missing |
