vapusforever 06-12-2003 12:39 AM

Crap, someone should buy that :)

Tech 06-12-2003 01:02 AM

the GT1 is sweet, but i personally think they are a little ugly, they look like a 911 on a bad acid trip

willsmic 06-12-2003 04:19 AM

Man, that is some car . . . now if only I could find $350K in my offshore holdings!

BoCo 06-12-2003 05:48 AM

$35,000 down and I'd only have to come up with $6,000 a month, every month, for the next 5 years straight!

Scorps 06-12-2003 09:19 AM

OMFG thats so cool

but way to much for me:(

Damn 5 dollars didn't work.

thadon 06-12-2003 09:38 AM

after modifying it to pass customs you got yourself a sweet $450k ride

89transam 06-12-2003 11:02 AM

Ill just put $50 K into my trans am and own it in every way possible

Rippley 06-12-2003 01:04 PM

I'd hit it...

WarWagon 06-12-2003 05:56 PM

Wow.

For some reason, it doesnt look like it should be parked in that neighborhood though...

joshibahn 06-16-2003 07:45 AM

Those are slow.

Just kidding!

merkerguitars 06-16-2003 08:56 AM

Damn i am only $392,000 short.....And I don't wanna know the insurance on it. I would probably have to go through lloyds of london.

Paper 06-16-2003 12:29 PM

Looks gaudy...in my opinion. Cause it counts!

1)Doubtful.

2)It's not how fast it goes, it's how it does it. And this does it Lemans Style.

3)Because there are only 25 1989 Trans Am's in the world

Yes, true ill agree with you on that one :D

Tech 06-16-2003 10:39 PM

i don't think 50K would do it, personally. that's a hell of a lot of car to make up for, you could take it 0-60 fairly easily (respectively) but i don't know if you could make the ENTIRE car better than it, and if you did, it would pretty much be an entire different car with a trans am body stuck on top.

Ambition 06-16-2003 11:18 PM

I'd take a GT2 over that GT1 any day. But still it looks like an head turner on any given street.

Atomic Pinkie 06-17-2003 03:36 AM

heeerrrreeee ricey ricey ricey heeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee boy

SQQQQQQQQQUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

buh bye

MacGnG 06-17-2003 11:04 PM

i'd buy that is i had 100k to spend

jorgemendoza 06-19-2003 12:05 AM

wow they made street legal GT1s. I thought that model was only for the GT car circuit.

0001 06-19-2003 05:58 PM

In order to qualify for Lemans each car entered has to have a street-legal production counterpart. They define production as 25 units or more.

LOL, you're the only one in the world that would take a trans am with $50k in mods over a GT1 Porsche....jackass...LOL

kajagoogoo 07-12-2003 11:25 AM

drool drool drool

Scorps 07-12-2003 12:43 PM

OMFG that is a sweet ride, and some one paid over 400K for that.

0001 07-12-2003 04:41 PM

No they didn't hehe.. reserve not met @ US $401,470.00

Frankly I'm not surprised; it's worth much more than that.

Z0RR0 07-12-2003 09:15 PM

400k only? That is a frickin' bargain.
This same car is sold on www.carclassic.com for 750 000$ (so I'd guess the reserve is around there).
I'd buy that for 400k. Not at 750 though. Depending on the year. I'd buy a first year/model GT1 for 750k. And I would never buy an F50 for that money (they sell around 650k), neither would I get a McLaren for 1.2M$.

Quite surprisingly, it actually is a bad car (relatively). I have a friend pro-driver (Richard Spenard, if anyone knows) and he's driven one, and he said it really felt like a 911 frint end with a better rear. He wasn't fond of it. Said the Saleen S7 was much better balanced.

I'd get both :)
