Need information on an engine It was an experimental engine from Oldsmobile back in the '60s. Oldsmobile put together a 455 V8 DOHC made from all aluminum. The engine code is OW43. There was pics of that engine in a thread here a while back...years ago, best as I can remember. A search revealed nothing, and Google hasn't offered up any pictures, either. So, I'm relying on you guys to help me out. Thanks in advance. |

Yeah, pics are a bitch right now. I had found the text articles, but I know there is more info on that engine out there. We had pics on this board some time ago. Might have been TFP V.3 now that I think about it, though. I just have no clue where to start digging for pics, as finding the actual engine wouldn't be a much harder task to accomplish!! Thanks, guys. |

Did you notice it said that there was an article about it in the May 1971 Hot Rod magazine? Maybe you can find that issue. Actually I think you could get it on ebay now, it's one of the ones in this pic http://i23.ebayimg.com/04/i/08/92/da/ce_1.JPG |

I didn't find the magazine, but I did find an article on the Oldsmobile experimental engines. Should have that in there. So...I bought it! |

Hope I'm not digging up old threads, but I found this thread while doing a google search on the infamous OW-43. Seems you guys are looking for some pics of it, and if you're still interested, I'd be happy to post some. I hope I don't get in trouble for posting scans, but a copy of this book is very hard to find. However, if it is against the rules, feel free to delete/edit this post. http://i11.tinypic.com/2ur2kk9.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2zivtbs.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2zrkydy.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2po8gaw.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2vhupfb.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/3yze4jn.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/3z82par.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2s1vza1.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/2jbwglj.jpg |
