Westfield SEi

I am a big fan of the Caterham Super Seven.

In the past few years motor cycle engine technology has gotten to the point where engines have enough torque to power small cars. The sequential gearboxes are a plus as well.

In these cars power to weight ratio is the key. There are now cars that weigh under 1000lbs. and have 180hp to 250hp Yamaha or Suzuki engines.

This car is a Westfield SEi with custom carbon fiber bodywork. It's used for rally racing. 180hp, 902 pounds.

Just thought i'd share what I think is cool.

seems a bit low for non-tarmac rallying. is there a special class for this type of entry?

Not all carbonfiber though.

Up here in Canada these guys put in a GSXR 1300 Hayabusa motor and gearbox with 185hp.
