Farmington, MI 2006, FilmLoop link added!

After getting rained out on our original date, we still had about 50 cars turn out for our annual customer appreciation day. I've started an album on Photobucket to give a taste of what my customers have been working on....

Runs 10.7 in the 1/4 mile!

Looks like you had some nice rods show up. Really liked the 30's Ford.

Very cool stuff. So what kind of business are you in to have customers with such street rods?

Around here, from Spring to Fall, a local speed shop has a last Friday of every month car show in their lot and it attracts cars along those lines. I love shows like that.

We're an independant auto parts store... a 4 store, family owned (not my family, though) chain. I manage the main location.
For each of the past 9 summers, we've held a customer appreciation day and invited all of the locals to bring in what they have been working on. For the past few years, I've posted a sample here.
About 35-40 of the same cars are brought in every year. But every now and then, something really unique pulls in: one year, a right-hand drive superbird re-patriated from Australia; last year a several nice t-buckets and a dragster.
This year, that primer-grey Chevy wagon that Bobby likes was a new feature: big block with a blower, suicide doors, Maltese cross mirrors, chopped and lowered, it attracted a crowd.

We grill hotdogs snd serve a couple varieties of chili, cookies, cake, soft drinks, coffee, usually the week after the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. We pass out dash plaques (it's not a competitive show) and a bunch of swag from our suppliers. We have a lot of fun

Sounds like fun, too bad Michigan is not so close to PA or I'd come over for some chili Your show does remind me of the local one I mentioned.

In case you want to see, here's a link I posted of the K&G Speed Shop meet our local place had back this past May; the last two shows had a much better turnout with some super cool stuff, but I didn't post those anywhere I can link to right now. http://www.mkivforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2065

PS: every time I see your little sig pic, I think it has a striking resemblance to this Supra turbo manifold

Very nice shots, BadNick! Yep, looks a lot like our set up.

I'll have more shots posted later this week... been crazy busy!

(my avatar is a painting a guitarist friend found, and contacted the artist to let us use it as a logo for our band. very cool!)

Edited on 9/19....(Talk like a pirate day!)

Click on the link, ya lubbers! Glom yer peepers on the perty cars!
